Toward a World that Works for Everyone
The Trauma of Toxic Masculinity Jared Yates Sexton, Yes! Magazine, April 19, 2019. httpss://tinyurl.com/y4rjy7nw What really lies beneath the anger and aggression of traditional White masculinity? During the two years I reported from the 2016 campaign trail, I watched stump speeches in cramped union halls and polished addresses to thousands, survived the major conventions, dodged flash […]
(Concluded from Part 1, yesterday.) What’s being asked of us lightworkers is persistence, determination, valor. We’re asked to stay at our posts till the end. That calls on us to expand our estimates in all directions. The Company of Heaven has to watch what they say that they don’t let the air out of the […]
A reader wrote in and said she was dying of waiting. Me too, I can assure you. What do I do to revive myself? (1) When I need to, I go through a number of steps. I might bring up love from my heart, which, when it arises, changes my outlook completely, no matter what […]
Best wishes on Easter Sunday! I just saw a demonstration of will that I can’t pass by commenting on because I personally am going to need to be the undeniable driver of my will in (I hope) a short time. It began when some painful feelings flitted across my mind. I noticed them. I resolved […]
(Concluded from Part 1, yesterday.) One place the dual and the non-dual intersect is in their agreement on what stands between us and our growth or enlightenment: Vasanas. Call them resentments, unfinished business, old baggage, records, files, core issues – the name matters not. They are file folders containing the memories of earlier traumas that […]
Often Archangel Michael, in my personal readings through Linda Dillon, prefaces his message with a soliloquy, which I know he wants circulated. Here he discusses the futility of pigeon-holing people in a world of diversity and the need to get rid of the belief in limitation. Don’t overlook the really touching personalness of his talks […]
If something really is a core issue, it goes very deep. It becomes the filter through which we see things. If we were traumatized as a child, we may be highly or deeply reactive, guarded, even confrontive. If sexually mistreated, we’ll have another set of filters. Same for war trauma, frightening near-death experiences, etc. When […]
Curiosmos.com April 1, 2019 httpss://curiosmos.com/scientists-reveal-a-multidimensional-universe-inside-the-brain/ A study published in Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience has revealed that the human brain’s structures operate in up to 11 dimensions. Conducted by the Blue Brain Project, scientists discovered fascinating new details about the complexity of the human brain. “We found a world that we had never imagined,” explained neuroscientist Henry Markram, director of […]
One of the ways April Fool’s Day was celebrated in earlier times was to send someone on “a fool’s errand.” A nobleman might send his servants on a wild goose chase. Or a newspaper might advertise a fictitious event, such as “the annual ceremony of the washing of the lions” at the Tower of London […]
It’s evening time and I’m winding down and taking an overview of how I’m doing in the areas of forgiveness. I feel the need to drop my strategy of unforgiveness, but I also know that I won’t without having a compelling reason for doing so. Otherwise I find one reason or another for not letting […]
I mentioned some time ago that an occupational hazard of being a financial wayshower is that having wealth could multiply the impact of some vasanas or core issues. That could be for a variety of reasons. (1) The suppression button may be taken off. We now have complete permission to cut loose. (2) We have […]
I was walking along the Sea Wall in Vancouver, when I became aware that I was walking behind a smoker. Until this time I was experiencing love – consciously. I was breathing love up from my heart. Suddenly I found myself inhaling someone else’s smoke. And it was a vape device so the cloud of […]
What’s the difference between illusion, delusion, and imagination? I’m having so much fun living into a role that I’m creating in my mind (financial steward). I’m definitely imagining it. Is it an illusion? I guess so. Is it a delusion? I hope not. Given that I so often feel drawn inward these days, (1) maybe […]
I’ve reached a point in my spiritual journey that I recall others having reached. Until now, I’ve seen that my thoughts result in my mind responding with a certain feeling, all of this programmed by my core issues and beliefs. I could loosely say that my thoughts “cause” my feelings. Also until now, I’ve been […]
From Matthew: 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. ~ Matthew 5:23, 34 NKJV The other […]
