Golden Age of Gaia Website Frequently Asked Questions
Q: There is no longer a “read more” on the articles, and I am unable to access the full version of the posts. How do I do this?
A: On the right hand side of the post title is a small page icon. You can click on the icon, or you can click on the headline of the blog post. This will transfer you to the full version of the article.
Q: I am signed up for the Newsletter. The daily digest does not show the full articles. How do I read them?
A: Simply click on the headline of the blog post excerpt and it will open a new browser tab window, taking you directly to the blog post you wish to read. You can then either choose to browse the daily content on the blog and read what you choose, or you can return to the newsletter, which will remain open in your email inbox, in another browser tab.
Q: Since the blog update, I am able to view the blog on my mobile phone, but not on my laptop or desk top computer. How can I fix this?
Another similar Question: I cannot access the website. How to I fix this?
A: In recent months, many websites and internet service providers have tightened up security to avoid the risk of cyber hacking. We updated the blog platform in an effort to protect the content from cyber attack, but also to provide users with a safer experience.
Many things, such as your web browser, internet service provider, firewall settings, “cookie” handling and virus protection can interfere with access to the blog. If you can view the blog on a mobile device, then it is most likely your browser, ISP or a computer protection program that is causing the issue.
If you have the ability, take your computer to a web hot spot and see if you can access the site. You could also ask a friend to access the web address on their computer to see if they can load the page. We would also suggest you try and access the website via another web browser. This will help you to focus where the issue may be.
There is also a possibility that your computer contains malware. Many servers will not accept connection from a computer that contains a virus. Doing a full virus scan may detect the problem, but if you suspect your computer is infected, please visit one of the many online computer support discussion forums for assistance.
We have created the following list of suggestions to try. They have assisted others in regaining access to the blog.
First, go to your browser tools>options>advanced>network.
Clear your internet Cache and hit update or save.
Next go to tools>options>privacy and clear your internet history and cookies. Hit save.
You may wish to see if “enabling cookies” helps as well.
Go to tools>options>privacy then under History click enable custom setting. Then click enable cookies and set accept third party cookies to always, for the purposes of this test. Hit Save.
Then go to tools>options>security and click exceptions and add in the website address for Golden Age of Gaia. Please add both the https:///www.goldenageofgaia.com version and the https://goldenageofgaia.com version and then save.
You may also choose to power down your computer modem. Unplug the modem completely from its power source, and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes.
During this time, restart your computer. When your computer has started again and you see the log in screen, plug in your modem again. It will run through a series of tests and then show a connection to your internet service provider.
Log back into your computer and open a new browser.
We would suggest you Google Golden Age of Gaia and click the URL they provide, then re-save that as a new bookmark in your favorites. This process resets your IP address and should give you access to the blog.
If you continue to have problems, please call your internet service provider and ask if you have a static IP address. Some people can get on the site when they switch to a dynamic IP address.
Q: I am not able to view the sidebars of the blog anymore. The content seems to be misaligned. How do I change this?
A: The blog is now optimized for mobile devices. This means that the content layout will shift, depending on the size of the device screen. If you have your browser set to Zoom out or View in Full Screen, you will see the mobile version of the site.
If you wish to view the desktop or laptop version, simply click on the “view” icon at the top of your browser and adjust your zoom. If you click click on the zoom options you can then zoom out, turn off full screen mode or hit the reset button to bring the browser back to its original viewing settings.

Q: I love the option to print articles from Golden Age of Gaia to read later, but sometimes the text print is very small and I cannot read it. How do I fix this?
A: The “Print Friendly” option is a wonderful way of saving articles to read later. Using this option, you can either print, create a PDF file, or email the article to your inbox or to a friend. The Print Friendly button is located at the bottom of every blog post.
If you click on the small green Print Friendly icon, it will lead you to an editing panel, which will appear in front of the blog page you wish to print. At the top of the editing panel, you have the option of removing images, by checking a box. You can also alter the size of the text in the drop down box at the top. Setting the text to 130% produces a very readable version of the article once it is printed.
Q: Please explain how to use the “Print Friendly” program on the blog.
In addition to the information provided in the question above, you can use Print Friendly to download PDF versions of blog articles right to your desktop. You can also send yourself, or friends, email reminders and excerpts of blog posts you wish to read in the future. This saves you from bookmarking articles, or having to search for them at a future time, as the links are delivered right to your email box.
You can choose to create a PDF version to download to your desktop. After clicking the Print Friendly icon at the bottom of the blog post, and bringing up the text editor, simply click on the PDF creation button. The program will prompt you to select a page size. Then you can download the file to your computer, which you can either save on your disk or use a program like Adobe Reader or Foxit to read it on your own computer.
If you chose to use the Print Friendly program to send an email reminder to yourself about a blog article you wish to read at a future date, you simply click on the green Print Friendly icon to bring up the text editor. The program will ask you to input your email address and that of the receiver. It may also ask you to input a short captcha code, that it will display on the text editor screen, to deter spamming of this function. An article excerpt, with a link to the full article, will then be forwarded to the email box you indicated.
Q: I want to send an article from Golden Age of Gaia to a friend, via email. How do I do this?
A: Readers can use the Print Friendly icon at the bottom of every blog post to send emails about the articles. Simply click on the print friendly icon at the bottom of the page to start the emailing process.
