Kathleen has posted a video of Malala Yousafzai, who models perfectly, as did Gandhi and Jesus before her, the willingness to love those who ill-treat us.
Malala was not silenced by Taliban threats to kill her. They tried, leaving her with a bullet through her forehead that lodged in her shoulder. Still she refused to back down, but again without hatred.
She refused to descend to the Taliban’s level of ill treatment or stop speaking out against the ill treatment of women.
I personally have been finding it the hardest thing in the world to read about the treatment of women in Pakistan, the Congo or Thailand and not lapse into “us against them” thoughts of reprisal, punishment, revenge, etc.
It’s a knee-jerk reaction and takes significant self-recollection to avoid falling into.
The Arcturians through Sue Lie once emphasized to me last year how we lightworkers will “be called upon to master EVERY thought and feeling.” (1)
Apparently the dark lives upon our fear – and I presume our hatred as well.
Here we are, steeped in a culture that emphasizes dualistic bravery, endlessly stresses in a stream of television dare right against. wrong, good against evil, us against them.
Endless programming invites us to think divisively, hate those who are represented as not being like us and threatening us or our “way of life” (Muslims, communists, rogue nations, extraterrestrials, etc.).
And our assignment is to step out of all that and put a stop to mistreatment and warfare, wherever it’s found, but without hating those who hate us.
One of the points that Malala makes is that the Taliban misrepresented Islam and used their view of it to benefit themselves.
And we’ve seen the cabal in the West misrepresent Islam as well and convince our people, including many lightworkers, that Islam was to blame for bringing down the World Trade Center, when it was they themselves who destroyed it. (2)
We therefore have the Taliban on one side and our own Illuminati-based governments (no, not President Obama) and their allies on the other, both of them promoting hatred, fabrications, and fanaticism.
And yet a sixteen-year-old girl has the bravery and the foresight to see through the lies, stand up to them, and still not hate. She is a living example of what the Divine Mother said in late July: “You are not loving the atrocities. You are loving the divinity in the collective. You are recommitting who you are and who they are, you are loving them into wholeness.” (3)
Out of respect for her courage, founded upon love, can we too not drop our dualistic thinking and forego the desire to be right and triumphant, when the only lasting triumph can be that of love and compassion for all?
Can we not rouse and awaken ourselves from the rush to judgment that we engage in, even as lightworkers? Can we not see through the veil of misrepresentation and cease to label a whole people and a whole religion as being evil when nothing of the sort is true?
If Malala can at the risk of her life, can we who risk little not follow her and do likewise?
