Toward a World that Works for Everyone
Well, I have to say that I’m at the edge of my technological envelope when it comes to displaying files larger than 200 Mb on WordPress. That takes in most videos these days. Youtube and the forces of censorship have won the first encounter. But I have no doubt that they won’t win the epic […]
Andrew Eardley reports from London that the removed crest was damaged in a trucking accident and was taken down for repairs. The use of Gurkha Guards is apparently not outside normal regulations. He also reports that there is no evidence that the windows are boarded up. I’ve removed the videos…. Thank you, Andrew.
http://cathybuckle.co.zw/5-slices-of-bread-and-willing-participants-in-their-own-torture/ Dear Family and Friends, Sixty one days into Zimbabwe’s Covid 19 lockdown, I went into the supermarket early in the morning. There was thick mist and it was cold and muggy. The infra red forehead thermometer at the door wasn’t working (because it’s cold, the lady said) but masks were on and hands were […]
Only those with a need to know should read this article on the torture of young children. I’ve censored the most horrific details. You know that I was thrown for a loop twice in the time before this reading, first by seeing photos of children with Panda eyes (caused by being raped or sodomized at […]
SumOfUs joined hundreds of organizations — from unions to grassroots groups — to co-create the Principles of a Just Recovery post COVID-19. In the midst of converging health, economic and climate crises, it is irresponsible to go back to a “normal”. “Normal” was widespread inequality, precarious work, climate inaction, environmental degradation and colonial violence. 29th May 2020. Michael Quinsey. The break from normal activities has given people an opportunity to have a deep look at their lives and where they are going. It is a worrying time for many, but is necessary to be able to sit quietly and contemplate your future. Few realize the true significance of what […]

Remember back in March, when we were all free to go about our business? The World has shifted into a very different place over these two months. It seems that we’re being tasked with keeping the faith and refusing the myriad attempts to divide us and keep us from connecting with one another and even […]

Our hearts go out to the family of George Floyd. What occurred in Minneapolis after his death is equally lamentable. But, lest we become divided once again, which I don’t think would be what Mr. Floyd would want, we should ask ourselves if we’re being manipulated. And stop the damage before it escalates via agents […]

Stay home. Stay safe. We’ll get through this. It’s our new normal. These words have been repeated so many times, you’d think they’re used for selling the latest superfood. They’re not selling a superfood, but is it possible […]
