That’s me, above, and Grok’s version, below.

AI has spoken. What do you see?
I know two types of people: (A) Donald Trump for whom “promises made” are “promises kept,” and (B) a friend for whom all arrangements are flexible and promises have little weight.
In any kind of organization, in my view, if you have a leader for whom promises are made and not kept, fairly soon, I think, the organization may find itself full of conflict and on shaky ground in terms of patience and loyalty.
Long ago, a local journalist, Alan Fotheringham, said that, by age 40, everyone is responsible for their own face. Following his lead, whether I keep my promises or not, I suggest, shows up, finally, on my face.
Whatever the skew, it doesn’t matter; it’ll show up, I believe.
On Sept. 18, 2018, at Xenia Retreat Center, I experienced my/the Self. (1) The sight of the Self was truncated, the Divine Mother acknowledged later, (2) so that I didn’t trek off to the Himalayas and leave my work.
But what was not truncated was the experience I felt when in the presence of the Self.
I felt innocent and pure.
Can you imagine what a relief that is? I am, at the very deepest levels, innocent and pure! Of course that means that others are as well, but I was focused only on me at that moment!
I could have run down the street in my PJs, shouting “I’m innocent and pure! Innocent and pure!”
That was my “Get Out of Jail Free” card! Me, miscreant that I was in my own mind. I won’t bore you with details because they’re really quite minor.
Add to that a critical parent and I saw myself as guilty of a multitude of crimes and had myself in jail, just as a lot of us do, I suspect.
And then I was, metaphorically dragged before the judge who says to me, to my amazement: “Not guilty as charged. I find you innocent and pure.”
Hoooooe-leeee!
Imagine! God, the One, Jesus, the Buddha opens the curtains, touches your heart, and you feel your own original innocence and purity! Breathe into that!
So, getting back to our faces and promises, I suspect, if we tracked our faces over time, they’d show evidence with a certain clarity, not only of promises not kept, but also of promises kept.
But I have to be careful. A soldier who’s been through a war may have chiselled features which might be misread. Someone who’s been tortured may have complex reactions of reflection and protection.
I personally don’t believe I could reliably interpret anything in this whole area. Instead, as a person who has sat on refugee claims, which most often turned on credibility issues, I see them as one little warning light that flashes on that I take under advice and dismiss if outweighed by other evidence or pursue if other credibility problems arise.
Not at all a psychotherapist’s purposes or methodology.
But useful to one who’s chosen to lead a number of companies all with a humanitarian purpose and New Earth values. With lots and lots of opportunities to be defrauded.
Throw in the constant challenge to discern without judging and I’ll be drawing on everything I’ve ever heard or read. And the scorecard on promises made and promises kept?
Hey, don’t ask me. (3) Look at my face. (Laughter.) (4)

(2) Divine Mother: Let me be very clear. … If you had seen the light as it actually is, yes, a million, billion suns… You would have simply departed. … We don’t mean die but you would have departed the life that you have designed – yes, with us, for yourself, for the service you are providing – you would have departed and simply said, “I do not need to do this. I will just simply sit in the bliss of love and good luck, everybody!” (Divine Mother in a personal reading with Steve Beckow through Linda Dillon, Oct. 26, 2018.) I think she’s right.
