I’ve been convinced since the late 1970s that awareness was not neutral, but dissolutive (my word). It dissolves our upsets.
This has been for me an hypothesis and I sought my proof among ascended beings, on and off planet.
If I painted an interior thing or event with awareness and simply “be’d” with it, my hypothesis went, the upset tends to dissolve. (1) I believe that causal relationship is what gives weight to the Vedantic teaching, “This too shall pass.”
Over the years I’ve called my method of completing a vasana a number of names and settled on the upset clearing process. (2) I didn’t create anything new. I acted as an aggregator.
The first ever discussion of this approach in channeled literature I’ve seen was Jesus’s article on the Third Way. (3) He said:
“There is a third way – a third way to experience your own human emotions. The first way was to totally identify with your anger, as in the previous example. The second way was to crowd it out, to suppress it and to condemn it.
“The third way is to allow it – to let it be and to transcend it. That is what consciousness does. The consciousness of which I speak does not judge – it is a state of being.” (4)
To say “a state of being” is, for me, to say “higher dimensional.” It’s also to say “divine state” or “divine quality.”
He described how we might be with our anger:
“You no longer identify with the anger, you do not lose yourself in it, you just allow the anger to be what it is. This is a state of detachment, but a detachment that takes great strength, because everything you have learned seduces you into being drawn into your moods, inside the emotion of anger or fear. And to make it more complicated, you also get drawn into judgment about that anger or fear.” (5)
I flashed on enlightened psychologist John Enright’s comment that we have three moods: High, low, and low about low. We draw ourselves into judgement of our own fear or anger.
Jesus asks us to detach from our anger knowing it isn’t the person in front of us that has reactivated us; it’s something that happened a long time ago and therefore we can afford to just watch what arises out there and in here. Without judgment. Without a felt need to act.
I heartily recommend reading Pamela Kribbe’s channeling. It’s like having adequate rain gear in a storm.
More recently, I came across another source that took the exploration in a new direction. Davey’s channeling of Mira of the Pleiadean and Earth Councils says:
“Have you noticed that the more you struggle and the more you fight, the more [the issue] persists? There is a saying amongst you humans, what you resist persists! (6) This is so very true.
“Love is your solution, our dear friends of the earth. Love, love, love… Kindness, compassion. These things bring clarity and they dissolve and disempower the negative vibrational forms you have that are purging and clearing within you.” (7)
I had only thought about awareness dissolving upsets. But here is Mira more or less suggesting that all the divine states do.
Mira recommends blessing and loving the things that trouble us, allowing them to feel complete and go on their way, rather than resisting them or holding onto them.
If we think about resistance, we can see why it might cause persistence. If I resist another man, then I now have to watch him, know what he’s doing, have a defence worked out against him, script my lines in response to his predicted taunts and retorts, and so on. That person becomes an object of caution, preparation, and concern. We do a dance together in my mind.
But if I simply remain aware or better still love and bless that person, I need have no further attention on him. I have no plans to defend myself from him. I’m OK; he’s OK. Case closed.
Might I hazard the hypothesis and generalization then that, not just awareness or even love, but all the divine states dissolve negative thoughts, feelings, and memories? I’m not putting the matter forward as something we read about in a book but as something we can test out for ourselves.
That’s then the next place to go.
Immediately after writing this, I came across this passage from the Divine Mother, as if to kick things off:
“Not only are we, and you may frame that as the Father and I – the One – not only are we constant and never-changing; we are also ever-changing, expanding, growing, creating. But the fabric, the constructs, the concepts, the divine love, the sacred blessings and virtues, what you think of as divine qualities or values, practices, these do not change.” (8)
If my hypothesis is correct, then the divine states are the right tools in our toolbox to keep us from succumbing to such things as fear, self-criticism, self-doubt, etc., while forging ahead.
If we have judgments about the divine states – Polyanna, Miss Prim, snob, etc. – we may want to ditch them at some point because in the love that exists in the higher dimensions, as I can vouch for, everyone behaves like a saint. (9)
But then, once we’re there, as we all will be, the divine states will be a lived reality. All of these matters will then become instantly clear. What are mysteries to us now will then be too obvious for comment.

“And I burrow down into being by remaining aware of whatever presents itself and allowing it to disappear, removing one layer of the onion after another.
“To rest in awareness is my favorite activity and most favored state.” (Steve Beckow, “Resting in Simple, Bare Awareness,”
“Whether a scientist would agree with me or not, I see awareness, consciousness, experience as dissolutive (apparently I invented the word). As Katheen says, ‘feel to heal.’ What we feel heals.
“The alternative is to resist. As Werner Erhard noted, what we resist persists. I hypothesize that vasanas draw to themselves, by the law of attraction, the very thing they resist.” (Steve Beckow, “Now Arrogance Surfacing,”
