In a significant demonstration of support, over 500 veterans, including former Navy SEALs, Green Berets, and service members from various branches, are set to march in Washington, D.C., tomorrow to back Pete Hegseth’s nomination for Secretary of Defense.
This event coincides with the commencement of Hegseth’s Senate confirmation hearings before the Armed Services Committee.
The march is being organized by former Navy SEALs Bill “Freak” Brown and Rob Sweetman, who have rallied a substantial number of veterans to converge on the nation’s capital.
Their plan includes assembling at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at 9 a.m., followed by a march to the hearing venue, aiming to fill the hearing room with supporters and line the surrounding areas to visibly demonstrate their backing, according to Starrs.
“The SEAL March for Pete Hegseth and attendance at hearing demonstrates strong and unwavering support from the warrior class for Pete Hegseth as he moves forward with his confirmation to become Secretary of Defense,” a press release for the event said per Breitbart.
On Monday, a select group convened at the Courtyard Washington in D.C.’s Foggy Bottom for a Meet & Greet event organized by 62Romeo.
The gathering features prominent attendees, including Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Representative Keith Self (R-TX), and a distinguished lineup of Navy SEAL veterans such as Bill Brown, Robert Sweetman, Kaj Larsen, Mitch Aguiar, Ian Schinelli, Jeff Gum, Kenny Bigbee, and other comrades who have served alongside Pete Hegseth.
“Two words for Pete Hegseth. Service and sacrifice. Service and sacrifice. The challenge of politics It’s politics. I’m not a politician. We’re warriors. The only way to transcend politics is service and sacrifice with your life for our inalienable rights. Pete Hexet served and sacrificed overseas, in Iraq and Afghanistan,” said former Navy SEAL Kenny Bigbee.
Former Navy SEAL and current Congressman Derrick Van Orden, a strong supporter of Pete Hegseth, just blasted the Biden White House, claiming it is being run by “a bunch of 25-year-olds.”
“The world is the most dangerous it’s been since World War II, and that’s because of weak strategic leadership projected by Joe Biden. Excuse me. It’s the weak strategic leadership projected by the 25-year-old staffers that have been running the White House for four years,” said Rep. Derrick Van Orden.
