…Dwelling from, not upon, the space you want to inherit is the fastest way to change absolutely everything. ~ TUT message (TUT.com), 10/22/24
I zipped out of the house this morning, fueled up at Fuel Depot at the new, lower price of $4.33 per gallon, spent way more than I intended to at Trader Joe’s, and stopped at the ATM on the way home.
Armageddon energies are stirring. Be prepared, commentators warn. Things are about to get crazy…
The interesting thing this time around, four years after the monumental buildup to the 2020 US presidential election when truthers were crying everything must change NOW, is… Not exactly that I don’t care. It’s hard to be indifferent to the fate of the world.
But: Whatever happens with the upcoming November 5 election, I intend to stay present with my own life, learning new things (homeopathy class!), and enjoying the peace and beauty available in this Santa Barbara area.
If the unlikely outcome becomes reality, and the ruling party continues, I wouldn’t be happy, but I don’t think I’d be devastated. It wouldn’t be the end of the rodeo, and I can endure a few more rounds of the clowns until they are ousted for good.

I knew something internal had deeply shifted yesterday, after I walked by the neighbor’s house with eye-popping signs telegraphing their California-liberal-lockstep opinions. When I noticed the crop of political signs several weeks ago, I received a little jolt of something. Fear? Disgust? Disbelief? Maybe an amalgam of those.
Yesterday, I noticed that the signs had proliferated, and a small striped flag had been stuck in one of the dinosaur sculptures’ raised claws.
I took a couple of pictures and resisted the urge to giggle. This neighbor’s decision to display such mainstream-parroting ideas now inspires puzzlement rather than fear. Are they unaware that their political party is run by the New World Order, which wants to destroy the US and eliminate freedom across the globe?
Happily, it’s not my job (or place) to educate that neighbor, or anyone else, about the pitfalls of their apparent addiction to CNN and the New York Times.

I’m looking forward to starting that homeopathy class in November. One of the things I like about homeopathy is that even a little knowledge of that complex medicine system can successfully treat maladies that respond poorly or not at all to Western medicine. In the last few weeks I’ve seen that happen with one of our cats and with my dear elderly mother, as well.
I didn’t need anyone’s permission to buy or use those remedies or to obtain information to use them effectively.
This, I call freedom. And that is a freedom that I would be heartbroken to lose. So, on second thought, I do fervently care what happens on November 5. I know where the dinosaur neighbor’s party would steer healthcare—one of the Deep State’s fondest wishes is to outlaw alternative and complementary medicine—and I know where President Trump’s (and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s) agenda would steer us. And I know which I vastly prefer.
