Great American State Fair is a 16-day national exposition running from June 25 through July 10, 2026, spanning from the U.S. Capitol to the Washington Monument. The celebration will unite and showcase all 56 U.S. states and territories in a single World’s Fair-scale event. This is an opportunity for visitors from across America to experience an unforgettable celebration of the people and traditions that define our nation. Our nation unites diverse states and territories to form the strongest country in the world.
This once-in-a-generation celebration will feature live music, carnival rides, and dozens of hands-on partner activations, where visitors can taste, touch, and experience what makes each state and territory unique.

And look at this cheesiness! It’s sad that any American would specifically go out of their way to bow out of participating, especially as a representative of one of our fifty states…
As of mid-June 2026, the following states (all Democrat run) have publicly or officially said they will not send delegations, staff, or fund their own pavilions:
- Connecticut
- Illinois
- Maine
- Massachusetts
- North Carolina
- Oregon
- Washington
Some reports also mention Rhode Island and Vermont as having withdrawn. If so, that would mean that 18% of our 50 governors either say they don’t have the resources to participate, or they just don’t want to, for whatever reasons. In all fairness, staffing a multi-week event can cost tens to hundreds of thousands, and chances are good that they have infrastructure damage to repair in their failed sanctuary cities.
Then there are the musical artists who backed out of participating, saying they were misled about the nature of the event, citing safety/backlash risks from their core fanbase. In their view, they avoided reputational damage in certain circles. No mention of being told what to do by their handlers or anything.
Really, by not playing, they miss the upside of a major, free-to-attend, high-profile patriotic platform during a historic national moment — something that doesn’t come around often. In short: They trade potential career momentum, exposure, and earnings for avoiding political controversy and protecting their brand with left-leaning or apolitical audiences.
