Scarlett Lewis lost her beloved son in the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting and went on to form an organization for school kids that is now practiced in doctor’s offices, DMV’s, police departments, foster care, among bus driver’s (the Choose Love bus in Hillsboro is life changing, for the students too!), hospitals, corporations, prisons, and more . . .
Hello,
I sincerely hope you’re doing well. If you’re like me (and we’re 99.99% genetically the same, same wants and needs) you’re realizing that LOVE and the ability to CHOOSE LOVE (gratitude, forgiveness, compassion, etc.) is more important now than ever!
Thank you for your continued love and support with this movement that is now positively impacting over 10 million children in over 15,000 schools in 120 countries.
I have traveled throughout our country, speaking in classrooms, schools, districts, community events, conferences as well as internationally.
I say we are literally boots on the ground SOULdiers, spreading the ability to Choose Love as a thoughtful response.
From my experience, I believe everyone would Choose Love if given the awareness that it’s a choice, and the essential life skills that enable them to do so.
Choose Love has expanded way beyond what I had ever dreamed of when I founded this movement after the murder of my 6 year old son, Jesse, in his first grade classroom at Sandy Hook Elementary school 11 years ago.
The formula is being practiced in doctor’s offices, DMV’s, police departments, foster care, among bus driver’s (the Choose Love bus in Hillsboro is life changing, for the students too!), hospitals, corporations, prisons, and more!
There is a long waiting list in prison actually because the inmates who go through the programs say that if they had the skills, tools and awareness earlier on, they wouldn’t have committed their crime.
But of course, people that feel good about themselves, that can be grateful even in difficulty times, that can forgive and take care of themselves and serve others don’t want to cause harm.
Hurt people hurt people.
I hope you’re taking advantage of all our tremendous resources we’ve created over the past decade.
This includes the Choose Love podcast.
You can listen to our newest episode with Shannon Desilets, Choose Love Program Director, interviewing one of the recent graduates of the Choose Love for Corrections program live today at 10 AM/PM ET or past episodes on demand.
We’ve also introduced our new membership program and certified schools this year providing tremendous resources to help you and your school to make Choose Love a priority and truly be a part of the movement.
Choose Love is a culmination of my own healing journey as well as the latest and greatest available synthesized with a universal language, and made free for educators.
I come across some outstanding healing modalities that I use myself that I want to share with you.
One is the Cognomovement. I met Bill McKenna 7 years ago and during the meeting he escalated my healing journey.
I am now doing his Cognomovement therapy and having tremendous outcomes in my brain with clarity and focus.
He is having a conference in California that I wanted you all to know about. Choose Love friends can get a discount with code: Choose Love.

We are partnering with HeartMath to include a lesson on heart rate variability in our programming.
Our body is an orchestra and our heart is the conductor.
It’s so important that we realize our ability to manage stress is found in between our heartbeats each day! Be looking out for this!

I have been using a Kaatsu for the past 2 years.
This is called blood pressure reduction therapy and it’s benefited my muscle strength, clarity and oxygen intake, I can breathe better!

Keep striving to be the best version of yourself.
We can Choose Love as a thoughtful response in every situation, circumstance and interaction.
We model this for others in our life. Our thoughts impact how we feel that directly determines our actions and affect everyone.
We are incredibly powerful, put on this earth for a reason.
Even the pain we endure has a purpose – to help us learn, grow and be strengthened.
Gratefully yours,
Scarlett Lewis
