This is such a good reminder to ‘Love Your Neighbour as Yourself.’
9-year-old Alvero recognized the needs of the elderly where he lived in the northern shantytown of Bucaramanga, Columbia, and organized his young friends to help him wash, feed, run errands for them.
An extraordinary child with aware parents who allowed him to do his mission, even to use their family home for dances and classes. Alvero taught the old people to write their names and then eventually raised enough money to build a home to care for 140 abandoned older people.
