There are seasons in your life that are not supposed to be easy.
A tree weathering a dark, cold winter is not expecting fruit to blossom then and there. One’s job is to simply hold on tight until the spring season shines once again.
From outward appearances, all signs indicate that the future looks grim and bleak, yet nothing is permanent. Not the barren winter nor the leafless branches.
Fruit will come if only one endures.
You are that tree, and sometimes all we need to do is hold on tight to God when all else fails.
Just. hang. on.
Help is on the way.
Your season of trials causes your roots and steadiness to grow far deeper than you ever thought possible.
Perhaps you never know what God is doing inside of you, in the inner workings of your heart.
Peace, my soul, even when the cross feels so heavy. You’re not alone.
Not even perceived silence can separate you from God.
He’s there.
Closer than you can imagine.
No winter too cold. No storm too chaotic.
One simple day at a time, precious tree.
You pass these tests by simply surviving. and then one day you wake up with a harvest of fruit and blessing.
Your weakness is no challenge to God.
That’s all you have to do.
Cling to hope.
The corridors of your heart become filled with riches, all because you endured.
Future generations will enjoy the shade and covering you paid for, oh tree that has stood through many winters.
