Hello my lovely friends,
Many of us come and visit here daily and we share our deepest thoughts, believes, views and many other personal stuff. People in here could know me better than the average person I’m related to in physical life.
Anyway, it’s so many times when I’m listening music and feel good or in any way I spired about it, that I wanted to share this song with you guys here. In line with the quotable and the fluffy threads, I thought it initiate this tunes one.
Now what would be great, if it’s a song with a little intro to explain why it’s touching you and makes it special. Let’s see if music, memory and emotions can find a unifying ground in here.

Now, as a good Wayshower I should lead by example … I guess 😉
There are many, many songs special to me and I’m touched frequently. But of course I would like to introduce something special as my first post here. Also something possibly others don’t know, so they can practice active listening and tune in … to the song, the story and their heart ❤️
Therefore I chose a song that became special to me during my time in the Dominican Republic. You should know that the first part of my stay and living there was all about Love and going for happiness and have the courage to change … no matter what others think about you and your actions. It’s your life, not theirs.
Anyway, this song is related to those happy moments. It’s a Spanish song, performed by a Mexican group called Mana. I chose this live performance as it very much resembles the vibe I had when at their concert in Santa Domingo too.
I didn’t speak Spanish then (still picking it up in pieces hahahahaha), but could feel the lyrics and tunes touch me deep. They are very famous in all of Latin America, which is often a total “separated” World from the one we grew up in.
I will not explain the text, only the title “Mariposa Traicionera” means “Treacherous Butterfly”.
Please enjoy …
Much Love and hugs 💞💕💓🌈🙏
Ralph

Still hoping others will join and give some intimate tunes memory or emotions too. Until then I will offer mine.
This song doesn’t have a personal history pinched to a moment, but it touches my heart every time. Why?
Because it reminds me of all the times it got broken 💔 and all the memories I had of “hope this time was the one” … until yet once more it wasn’t.I do recall the many actions and individual attempts to go and find something … some One … out there … to be the perfect match. How determined I was to make it work, no mater what. How I maximized “shape shifted myself” to be as perfect and attractive as possible.
It never worked out this way … and the sorrow remained 💙🖤💔

That’s a very sweet song and an interesting music video. I’m sorry you’ve had so many relationship troubles, Ralph. I can relate to certain songs causing heartache.

Thank you for these lovely words Alex. I am fine now by the way. It helps a lot if you understand why!!
In my case the many broken heart experiences lead me towards my current Knowing and Feeling. It made me stronger and smarter than when I started this journey.
It was the perfect preparation to arrive in the Now.
Also when you truly know you are the only one ever have created a feeling inside yourself … it was me doing all the “falling in love” and the headaches as well.
So if I could do that and heal from it … what else is possible??
I am determined to find and Feel out. 💕💞💓🙏😘

This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and it’s been with me for many years. Something you may find shocking about this song is that it’s an opening theme for an anime! The show is called Elfen Lied. The song is beautiful but the show is not; it is extremely violent and depressing, so don’t watch it. I never want to watch it again either. I’m just so happy that I heard the song, it moves me to tears almost every time. It makes me feel like I’m back in heaven as Anael, singing in my choir for Divine Mother.

Its actually latin, and the translation is beautiful. I know this because I learned the lyrics so I could sing it.

Would love to hear you do that. Maybe some day.
As you probably know many modern languages have their origin in Latin … Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French are some I know of.
Never had talent for language and probably for a reason. However, the most interesting part I learned from studying Spanish … is they distinguish two different verbs for being … “Eres and Estar”. Roughly explained … “Eres” is used in relation to Who you are … while “Estar” as to where you are and the “state” you are in (observe). Still find this fascinating as these have merged in one in my language and English.
The lyrics are nice when you are already drawn to the vibration. For example the “mariposa” song is definitely about love … but describes the dramatic experience around a broken relationship of two lovers.
💕💞💓🌈😘

I took 3 years of Spanish when I was in high school, so I am familiar with the “ser” and “estar” verbs. I think it’s really cool too.

I grew up in household where my father was always gathering, reorganizing and reshuffling his music 🎵🎶. Of course he had his very own taste as we all do. As a child however you easily adopt the taste of other loved ones.
I couldn’t possibly give you an impression of his taste … but I just wanted to mention one of my greatest inspirators in life … to all kind of music. It was his hobby to construct the perfect “playlist” for every occasion. Of course the music wasn’t digital back then, nor could it be streamed. He build his own lists with his very own machine, manually and carefully gluing and stitching it together … on his love and pride Akai bandrecorder 😄
Now the next song, isn’t really one of his favorites but I am sure it must have been on there somewhere. Because years later I found it and needed to find the version I knew it by … for me the “original” one.
It never was the original, but a cover of a great song with very inspirational tekst and music. The original is written and composed by Joni Mitchell turns out, but I prefer the version my father selected up to this day.
Anyway, give it a try and be inspired by a beautiful song and lyrics.

The next song is a beautiful song by Sinead O’Connor. She as singer and performer had two impacts in my life. One is when I was younger and she as well and I “just” liked her music.
The other one when I was on my spiritual path and rediscovered her music and all the spiritual understanding in the lyrics. How amazed I am until this day, how some performers are inspired and Divinely guided to contribute even at young age.
I do know she as a person and a soul, did get her share of struggle … but her music is still out there.
Anyway, this is just one song … about gratitude, forgiveness and self reflection. I like to dedicate this song to all of you here and a little extra to my “Light Tunes” friend Alex. Hope you will hear it and get a nice feeling receiving 💓😘

The old days of splicing tapes! That was a popular pastime with the radioheads I knew.
Thanks for blasts from the past, Ralph. I now have Both Sides Now (Joni version) playing in my head. Not a bad ear worm to have!

I can’t possibly describe how beautiful this is. Everytime again I get enchanted by the “story and conversation” inside.
Also if there are people who never saw the movie “Immortal Beloved” … I highly recommend it for it’s story and beautiful music.
There is another wonderful movie from a different person’s angle, equally magical. The most beautiful scene is captured here …

I love Beethoven…and here’s the Bard:
If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it; that surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.~ Twelfth Night

I like to invite people to listen to this great song. Now besides it’s beautifully performed and could touch your soul … if you let it, but allow me to add a level.
A level of awareness. The understanding that the artist Sinead O’Connor is Irish, the song is written several decades ago … and she is singing a love song for the “English suppressor”.
If you get this and identify yourself, your inner knowing and emotions … you could feel all the Light, intent, forgiveness … she is expressing.
Much love, enjoy …

Ambient music is generally favorable!
