The parade reportedly cost $45 million, and every second sent a message.

This is what honoring our troops is supposed to look like.

The celebration opened with a moment of unmistakable patriotism.

Standing tall beside First Lady Melania and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, President Trump held a firm salute during a stirring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner as the national military parade began rolling through Washington.

It was a moment to remember and also a fitting way to mark President Trump’s 79th birthday.

To kick off the ceremony, the parade honored the original gangsters of the U.S. Army, The Old Guard.

In 1775, the “shot heard round the world” was fired at Lexington and Concord, setting off a revolution that changed the course of history.

Thirteen colonies rose up, as farmers and frontiersmen became soldiers. They formed the Continental Army, won at Trenton, endured the harsh winter at Valley Forge, and ultimately forced the British surrender at Yorktown.

That was the birth of the United States of America 🇺🇸

Then came the show from the skies.

The U.S. Army Parachute Team—the legendary Golden Knights—wowed the crowd with a midair performance.

This unit dives at over 120 mph, glides in perfect formation, deploys its canopies in sync, and lands with pinpoint precision.

They couldn’t hear the crowd, but they could see them waving from below.

The parade also paid tribute to generations of American soldiers, from the Revolution to modern day.

As far-left agitators prepare to unleash another wave of anti-Trump “NO KINGS” protests across the nation this weekend—with over 2,000 scheduled rallies in every state—President Donald J. Trump isn’t taking their rhetoric lying down.

The nationwide protest—taking place across 1,500 to 2,000 locations—is being billed by left‑wing groups like Indivisible, 50501, the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and even Bernie Sanders’s campaign as a “day of defiance” against authoritarianism.

As TGP readers know, Trump is scheduled to hold a historic military parade on that day to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Army.

The ad calls on Americans to “mobilize” on Saturday, which is both Flag Day and Trump’s birthday, to “reject authoritarianism.” The “No Kings” movement is the group running the ad.

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier on Wednesday that entrepreneur and political commentator Patrick Bet-David (PBD) revealed Democrats and their NGO allies are planning over 1,500 coordinated protests across all 50 states—a setup, he warns, designed to sabotage President Trump and ignite another wave of nationwide unrest heading into the midterm election.

When asked by a reporter about the planned protests—absurdly themed around the idea that Trump seeks to be a “king” — President Trump gave a fiery and brutally honest response that instantly shut down the left’s narrative.

Reporter:
There are several “No Kings” protests planned across the country on Saturday as well. What are your thoughts on those?

Trump:
What are they doing? “No Kings”?

Reporter:
No Kings.

Trump:
I don’t feel like a king. I have to go through hell to get stuff approved. A king would say, “I’m not going to get this.” A king would have never had the California mandate to even be talking to him. He wouldn’t have to call up Mike Johnson and Thune and say, “Fellas, you got to pull this off,” and after years, we get it done. No, we’re not a king. We’re not a king at all. Thank you very much.

Once again, President Trump exposed the laughable hypocrisy of the radical left — who claim to oppose tyranny while simultaneously cheering on unelected bureaucrats, activist judges, and Democrat governors who rule by executive fiat.

Politico Article About Democrats and the American Flag is a PERFECT Example of How the Media Carries Water for the Left

If you have been watching the news for the last week, you have seen tons of footage of leftists flying foreign flags, mostly in Los Angeles and mostly the flag of Mexico.

The only time you saw an American flag is when someone was spitting on it or lighting it on fire.

Democrats know how bad this looks and someone even got into the ears of the rioters and urged them to start passing out American flags to wave.

The liberal outlet Politico has tried to come to the rescue with a new article about how Democrats have ‘reclaimed’ the American flag:

Democrats’ newest approach to win back voters is a fresh embrace of the nation’s oldest symbol.

Two days ahead of Flag Day, when President Donald Trump’s military parade will run through the streets of Washington, Democratic Reps. Pat Ryan (D-N.Y.) and Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) fanned out Thursday afternoon to give a gift to their colleagues to unite them.

It was a 4-inch-by-6-inch American flag, which they passed out at almost the exact moment, unbeknownst to them, that Sen. Alex Padilla was getting forcibly removed and handcuffed at a Homeland Security press conference in Los Angeles — an act House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries would later call “unpatriotic.”…

“Patriotism does not belong to one party,” the letter read. “The flag, and the values it stands for, belong to every single American.”

Now, as bad as this already is, it gets worse.

The entire theme of this article traces back to another Politico article from April, in which a Democrat suggested that her party needs to retake the American flag.

Look at this article (emphasis is ours):

Elissa Slotkin, the former CIA analyst turned battleground senator, will on Thursday start road-testing what she calls a “war plan” to “contain and defeat Donald Trump.”

In the first of a series of speeches about the Democratic Party’s path out of the wilderness, the Michigan senator said she will span everything from strategy to tactics and tone, acknowledging public perception of the party as “weak and woke” needs to change. She is urging Democrats to “fucking retake the flag” with appeals to voters’ sense of patriotism, to adopt “the goddamn Alpha energy” of Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell and to embrace an “airing out” of potential 2028 presidential candidates in a broadly contested primary.

So, a Democrat lays out a plan for her party and two months later, Politico declares that Democrats have accomplished said political goal.

If you think that’s a coincidence, there’s a certain bridge in Brooklyn you might want to buy.

USAID Official, Three Corporate Executives Plead Guilty to Decade-Long Bribery Scheme Involving Over $550 Million in Contracts: DOJ

A USAID official and three government contractors pleaded guilty to a decade-long bribery scheme involving over $550 million in contracts, according to the Justice Department.

According to court documents, beginning in 2013, USAID official Roderick Wilson agreed with corporate executive Darryl Britt to receive bribes in exchange for Watson’s influence to award contracts to a small business named Apprio and its subcontractor Vistant.

Watson received more than $1 million in bribes to steer no-bid contracts to Apprio and Vistant.

A race-based government program that allowed ‘socially and economically disadvantaged businesses’ to bid on contracts made this massive scheme possible.

“As a certified small business under the SBA 8(a) contracting program, which helps socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, Apprio could access lucrative federal contracting opportunities through set-asides and sole-source contracts exclusively available to eligible contractors without a competitive bid process,” the DOJ said.

Per the DOJ:

Four men, including a government contracting officer for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and three owners and presidents of companies, have pleaded guilty for their roles in a decade-long bribery scheme involving at least 14 prime contracts worth over $550 million in U.S. taxpayer dollars.

  • Roderick Watson, 57, of Woodstock, Maryland, who worked as a USAID contracting officer, pleaded guilty to bribery of a public official;
  • Walter Barnes, 46, of Potomac, Maryland, who was the owner and president of PM Consulting Group LLC doing business as Vistant (Vistant), a certified small business under the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) contracting program, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery of a public official and securities fraud;
  • Darryl Britt, 64, of Myakka City, Florida, who was the owner and president of Apprio, Inc. (Apprio), a certified small business under the SBA 8(a) contracting program, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery of a public official; and
  • Paul Young, 62, of Columbia, Maryland, who was the president of a subcontractor to Vistant and Apprio, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery of a public official.

“The defendants sought to enrich themselves at the expense of American taxpayers through bribery and fraud,” said Matthew R. Galeotti, Head of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “Their scheme violated the public trust by corrupting the federal government’s procurement process. Anybody who cares about good and effective government should be concerned about the waste, fraud, and abuse in government agencies, including USAID. Those who engage in bribery schemes to exploit the U.S. Small Business Administration’s vital economic programs for small businesses — whether individuals or corporations acting through them — will be held to account.”

“Watson was entrusted to serve the interests of the American people — not his own — and his criminal actions for his own personal gain undermine the integrity of our public institutions,” said U.S. Attorney Kelly O. Hayes for the District of Maryland. “Public trust is a hallmark of our nation’s values, so corruption within a federal government agency is intolerable. This office, along with our law enforcement partners, will continue to pursue and prosecute corruption at every level to ensure accountability and protect public trust.”
