The Highway to Heaven
It’s early in the morning. Few people seem to be up.
I’m looking out over the Highway to Heaven.
I call it that in memory of an experience I had, I think, in my early thirties. By then I’d had 20+ experiences, many of which I’d given names to: The Silver Bullet, Porteau Cove, the Flame in the Heart … and the Highway to Heaven.
The evening in question, while living near my present-day apartment, I was sitting on the sand, at water’s edge. It was a beautiful night. The sun had just set, leaving an orange glow in the sapphire blue sky. It must be my favorite time of night or day.

I was looking out to sea, between the two arms of land, and suddenly I looked above them, up to the heavens and then down to where I now sat and realized: Stardust congealed and made this planet. Water came from comet collisions or some other cosmic event. Fish developed in the water and then they came up on land. … And here I am.
My physical body is starstuff, plain and simple. I was staring at the highway from heaven to this body. Not the inhabitant. But the vehicle.
Coming back to present day, I looked back on how my perspective exploded again, in the vision of 1987, exploded again in the heart opening I had in 2015, and gained priceless reassurance of my essential purity and innocence in the sight of the Self at Xenia in 2018.
These were all what Michael calls “snaps.”
I’m going over it to demonstrate how this process called Ascension works. Since my soul contract is to work with Archangel Michael in demonstrating it, I’m doing what I was “hired” to do in reporting on it.
Always, as Michael said, I went up one level after another as a result of these snaps. He explains:
Archangel Michael: You have experienced progressively, periods of unity, of transformative love [7D], of ecstasy [12D], of bliss [8-9D] that you feel (and I emphasize feel) come and go.
But every time, you have had this experience it has edged you up a level. So that now you say to me, ‘”Michael, I feel like I have a new baseline. I have a new foundation of happiness.’
But you also have a new foundation of knowingness, of understanding, of wisdom, of humility, of tolerance, of kindness. This has all been bringing you to an expanded sense of self and an expanded sense of not only how we operate but how the collective operates.
Think of how every time you especially enter the transformative love, that is a snap. It is not the full dramatic snap [Ascension itself] but it is a snap. Each time you are progressing up what you can think of as a level.
Think of [entering] your love as flying back and forth through the portal. Now sometimes you’re aware and sometimes you’re asleep. (1)
Michael wants me to go up with everyone else and write about it. That’s what I’m doing.
Michael’s describing the sudden aspect of enlightenment – many smaller snaps and then one “full dramatic snap” (Ascension) that we all will be present for.
If and when time allows, I’d like to look at this sudden aspect of Ascension – that is, these “snaps” or spiritual experiences. I’d also like to look at our destination as a result of these snaps – the divine states or qualities. We’ll find, I believe, that a deeper and deeper experience of these states is our welcome and eternal destination, lifetime after lifetime, Ascension after Ascension. (2)
