NEW: Federal Judge Declines to Block DOGE from Access to Treasury Systems
Cristina Laila, Gateway Pundit, Mar. 7, 2025
(https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/03/new-federal-judge-declines-block-doge-access-treasury/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=1683)
A federal judge on Friday refused to block DOGE workers from accessing the Treasury systems.
US District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, a Clinton appointee, said the plaintiffs did not show there was an immediate risk to sensitive information being shared publicly.
“Plaintiffs’ concerns are understandable and no doubt widely shared. However, on the present record, Plaintiffs have not cleared the “high standard” of showing a likelihood of an irreparable injury that is “beyond remediation,” which is a prerequisite to the issuance of a preliminary injunction in this Circuit,” Judge Kollar-Kotelly wrote in a 44-page opinion.
“Merely asserting that the Treasury DOGE Team’s operations increase the risk of a catastrophic data breach or public disclosure of sensitive information … is not sufficient to support a preliminary injunction,” the judge wrote, according to AP.
The judge did say she is open to blocking DOGE in the future if the plaintiffs show evidence that a small team of workers are putting sensitive information at risk.
“If Plaintiffs could show that Defendants imminently planned to make their private information public or to share that information with individuals outside the federal government with no obligation to maintain its confidentiality, the Court would not hesitate to find a likelihood of irreparable harm. But on the present record, Plaintiffs have not shown that Defendants have such a plan. If circumstances change, Plaintiffs are free to return to federal court to seek any proper emergency remedy,” the judge wrote.
Judge Kollar-Kotelly’s ruling on Friday has little impact because a separate judge in New York granted an injunction blocking DOGE from accessing Treasury systems.
The Associated Press reported:
A federal judge in Washington refused Friday to block employees of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency from accessing Treasury systems containing sensitive personal data for millions of Americans.
She acknowledged, however, privacy concerns about their work. DOGE is still limited by a different court order in New York.
Supreme Court Blocks Trump’s Request to Freeze $2 Billion in USAID Payments, Drawing Criticism From Conservatives
Gloriel Howard, Resist the Mainstream, March 5, 2025
(https://resistthemainstream.com/supreme-court-shocks-with-key-decision-on-trumps-foreign-aid-freeze/)
The U.S. Supreme Court dealt a significant blow to the Trump administration by refusing to overturn a lower court’s ruling that unfreezes nearly $2 billion in payments to contractors working with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
In a narrow 5-4 decision, the ruling has sparked renewed debate among conservatives, some of whom accuse certain justices of opposing President Donald Trump’s efforts to impose stricter controls on foreign aid spending. The case centers on the Trump administration’s freeze on USAID payments due to concerns about waste and fraud, with conservative justices strongly opposing the decision.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court declined to block a lower court ruling requiring the release of funds to contractors, Fox News reports. These payments had been frozen as part of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) broader audit of USAID payments, aimed at uncovering waste, fraud and abuse.
The Court’s decision did not set a timeline for the funds’ release but emphasized that further clarification was needed from the district court on how the government should meet its obligations under the temporary restraining order.

Promises Kept: Trump Administration Announces Immediate Cut of $400 Million in Federal Funding to Columbia University Citing School’s Failure to Address Rising Antisemitism on Campus
Margaret Flavin, Gateway Pundit, Mar. 7, 2025
(https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/03/promises-kept-trump-administration-announces-immediate-cut-400/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=1683)
On Friday, the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Education (ED), and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced the immediate recinding of $400 million in federal grants and contracts to Columbia University citing “inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students” by the university.
The statement shares:
Today, the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Education (ED), and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced the immediate cancellation of approximately $400 million in federal grants and contracts to Columbia University due to the school’s continued inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students. These cancellations represent the first round of action and additional cancellations are expected to follow. The Task Force is continuing to review and coordinate across federal agencies to identify additional cancellations that could be made swiftly. DOJ, HHS, ED, and GSA are taking this action as members of the Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism. Columbia University currently holds more than $5 billion in federal grant commitments.
On March 3, the Task Force notified the Acting President of Columbia University that it would conduct a comprehensive review of the university’s federal contracts and grants in light of ongoing investigations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Chaos and anti-Semitic harassment have continued on and near campus in the days since. Columbia has not responded to the Task Force.
The Gateway Pundit reported that President Trump has vowed to put a stop to the antisemitic protests occurring on campuses and promised to cut off funds to colleges that allow this madness to continue.
