Octavia’s Bookshelf in Altadena—From Books to Donations

Octavia’s Bookshelf in Altadena has turned into a hub of activity, no room for books, only donations.

The store is named after Octavia Butler, famed science fiction author of Parable of the Sower written decades ago about a girl in 2025 facing an apocalyptic fire fueled by climate change.

This passage is going viral:

Archangel Michael: Everything that has need to be eliminated, everything that has need to be relinquished, everything that has need to be healed in this cesspool that we call ‘chaos’ has need to come to the surface.
