Discernment V – Authority
This is a ………BIGGY
Our lives change fast and forever when we accept the gift of Grace, and get out of our own way, and let it in.
And so if you are looking for help because you are “stuck’, confused, hurting …..etc, etc, it is up to you to be very selective (discerning) about whom you go to and who you listen to. There are a lot of distractions, “out there” even for the enlightenment path, that will play either deliberately or subconsciously on your fears and feelings of lack.
Feel deeply and think clearly about what you are looking for in terms of the quality (truth reality) of the other. There are people, modalities, techniques, and books that can help you. And as you move along in your “spiritual” growth you notice when you are appropriately allowing in help, and when you’re leaning on it too much, or being distracted from the deeper delving within your own private Knowing and Feeling?
Even The Divine wouldn’t want to “do it all for you,” but wants you to become more powerful, wise and loving.
In other words use your own discernment rather than depending on some other source.
Instead of looking for the teacher/healer/counsellor to “save you”, or “make it all go away”, you must eventually commit to building your own inner Knowing of The Presence, YOUR own most Sacred Presence.
There are times when physical healings don’t work or don’t last until you have changed something you are doing or thinking.
There is a line between letting in help and giving away your power, but no one but you can tell when it is crossed. You have to honestly look inside and FEEL it for yourself.
You could be going along letting in help and it’s perfect, then you reach a point where you need to shift, to tap in more deeply, and get the next step from within yourself.
There is a time when, for example, a mother needs to recognise that point where “helping” your children is actually crippling them and preventing them from finding the strength and power of their own wings, even when it means that they stumble and fall at first.
Again the fine line that only Heart discernment (intuition) Knows.
I continually have to practice this discernment. I have so much to give, and I want to give so much, but I have to feel when I’m “over-helping,” even in the “non-physical” levels. If I don’t catch and remedy that, it affects my physical body.
And so I ask myself whether the help I gave leaves the other more powerful and in touch with their own inner wisdom, or did it make them feel more dependent upon me?
Do they have to keep coming to me for answers or are they finding their own?
And by the same token “Did the help I received leave me more in touch with my own inner power, and where I am out of alignment, or am I experiencing dependence on the other or something outside my Knowing? Do I need to go to them for answers all the time?
One of the first things you will learn from a good teacher is discernment and the ability to tell truth from fiction, to know when you have lost your centre and how to find it again.
Discernment is also one of the last things we learn, when we feel our paths diverge and we must separate and disengage from our mentors in order to stay true to ourselves.
This latter is a BIG one because through loyalty, we can remain attached to a person or group or method that no longer serves us.
And thus if you read my postings and they resonate, ensure that you take what resonates as your own not just as “truth” that comes from Nicky. Does it help you shift closer, deeper unto Yourself? Does it move you to a place where you feel more empowered, etc? What can you do to further activate that Knowing inside of you that IS YOURS.
I So Love You
(I never get tired of feeling this)
