Very seldom have I seen a video pointing out and analyzing how the mainstream media fabricates the news … alright, alright, lies.
Joe Martino at the Pulse has gone over the manner in which the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation fabricated their account of Justin Trudeau’s speech to and reception from the European Parliament.
CBC said he got a standing ovation when he turned to the subject of the Ukraine and Russia. In fact numerous Members left the chamber. The chamber was left only sparsely attended. I’m not aware that Trudeau received an ovation.
Five MEPs strongly criticized Trudeau after his speech. The CBC mentioned nothing about it.
When the story was published, a long list of comments called the CBC out since the video of the MEPs criticizing Trudeau had been circulating on social media.
The CBC then issued a hatchet piece on Trudeau’s five MEP critics and called the European Parliament an institution which “rarely makes the news,” downplaying its importance.
They also issued what journalists call a “stealth edit” of the original article, in which they made changes but didn’t say what they were. Even their own guidelines say that they will state what changes are made to an article if the changes are substantive. Otherwise a questioner has to hunt down a copy of the original article to find out, which Joe did.
He searched the Internet Archives.
The changes saw the CBC acknowledging that the benches were half empty but the public gallery, which I believed to have been off-camera, was packed. I’m under the impression that this statement is not true. Why there would be a packed public gallery for Trudeau’s appearance was left unexplained.
Moreover, they stuck with their assertion that Trudeau’s call for an enhanced western response to Russian provocation received an ovation. Now it was “sustained,” rather than “standing.”
They did not allow comments on this “update.”
I’ve never seen a mainstream media organization actually caught in the act of manufacturing fake news, doubling down, abjectly censoring, etc. Now I have.
