According to the teachings through the channelled messages from the Council of Love, our understanding of the blessing and virtue of compassion, in the human sense, is limited.
A dictionary definition describes compassion as ‘sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.’ In a thesaurus, we find synonyms like empathy, fellow-feeling, care, concern, solicitude, sensitivity, warmth, love, tenderness, mercy, leniency, tolerance, kindness, humanity, charity.’
The Ascended Masters, through channel Linda Dillon, greatly expand our understanding of compassion, explaining it as an infinite blessing and an eternal virtue, with abilities and senses.
The teachings of the Council of Love explain compassion – loving and serving without judgement — as movement, an Infinite Blessing of the Mother.
When we access higher dimensional states, we find compassion becomes our ability to consciously bring our thoughts and actions into Divine right alignment.
Calmness, heart-feeling — knowing not to assume another’s burdens — is the virtue of compassion, known in the stillness of the Father.
The sense of compassion is eternal knowing, our honouring another’s choices without trying to fix, heal or change.
The Buddha says compassion starts with ourselves, with “thousands of opportunities everyday” to recognize our Divinity, within and without.
Daily we take 17 to 30,000 breaths, and have between 50 and 70,000 thoughts. (1)
Our conscious thoughts, connected to our breath can be, with practice, the Mother’s Divine Movement, the ability of compassion.
We are the virtue of compassion when we don’t contribute to or engage in drama or disarray. With conscious awareness of the virtue of compassion, the need to defend ourselves, assume an ego-defensive attitude, or justify ourselves, diminishes
When we offer assistance and Love with gentleness, we know we do not necessarily understand what another is going through.
Offering love and wisdom, perception and discernment, remaining detached from false grids and core issues yet attached to love, supportive of another, of their truth, the fullness of who they are, never in judgement, is to be consciously compassionate.
Mercy is our ability to be discerning. Knowing that we don’t understand, we come to realize that advice and sharing is different from compassion. Advice and sharing is heart-conscious conversation, searching for answers together, becoming, awakening together.
The stillness of unconditional support in Love, not agreement or disagreement, while holding a vision for the highest good is the virtue of compassion.
Compassion is complete trust that another has guidance and a plan within the Divine Plan, knowing that we each have chosen a path and we each have ways to deeper wisdom.
We can utilize the power of compassion, loving and serving without judgement, heart-feeling with detachment, especially with our own external reflections — mirrors of the self — with our ability to forgive others, to forgive the self, to graciously make and accept amends.
An authentic request for forgiveness, a genuine, “I’m sorry” can not only be the transmutation, the rectification of an injury, but can also result in an expansion of the receiver — the one receiving the apology — to grant forgiveness and feel compassion.
The more we forgive, the deeper we go into the mercy, the discerning of what is right, just and balanced, with ability to forgive everything.
Balance can be achieved through self-forgiveness and forgiveness of one another.
Calling, praying, asking for Divine assistance eases this process. With non-judgmental observation, support without interference, heart-feeling with non-attachment and the honouring of choices, and holding the higher vision yet offering a helping hand when needed, we come to understand the blessing and virtue, the ability and sense, and the strength of compassion.
Magenta, claret, and garnet are colours of compassion, mercy, the Christ Consciousness, beauty, wisdom, and of Jesus Sananda, Yeshua, Lord Maitreya, and the Buddha.
The Magenta Flame is compassion and passion. The Magenta Tri-Flame is the Flame of Strength, the Flame of Compassion, and the Flame of the Instantaneous Healing of Love that heals and dissolves separation.
