Gloria Wendroff of Heavenletters wrote the other day, on her site in the comments section, in seeming playfulness and invitation:
“Steve, I wonder: Is everyone we meet someone we have always known? Or, as this world is illusion, there is no meeting at all, and we have been Being together in Infinite Oneness before we catch on to it. We certainly have been subscribed to God. Now ‘we’ expands to include Chetan, Jack, everyone and God, and ‘we’ becomes ‘We.’ What a lovely world this illusion turns out to be, and what fun!” (1)
I’ve never had a public discussion with anyone before on subjects so ethereal. But with Gloria, it’s as easy as with anyone I can imagine. I replied:
“It’s very funny you should mention this, Gloria, because I’ve just been reflecting and writing on that exact thing.
“(I think I live my life through my writing. In one of my past lives, I worked to spread the use of the newly-invented printing press. Next life I think I want to be born as a Parker pen. Just kidding!)
“When I can imagine who we all are at the very highest level, I see that all this is me, just as viewed from the same level for you, all this is you.

“Since all of us are God, God having created the individuated soul for his own delight at meeting himself in a moment of our Self-realization, then all of what you said is true.
“Everyone we meet is definitely someone we’ve known at the higher levels. At the highest level, no one left, no one met, and no one will ever be separate. The world being illusion, we have never not been together in Infinite oneness. (And never will be.)
“So what you say, for me, is all true.
“What a lovely world it is, indeed, dear heart.”
Now I feel a need to say more. Oh, look what she started. The Parker pen moves and cannot be stopped.
In line with what Gloria says, or was it me (I forget!), where we center our consciousness means everything. If we center our consciousness at the level of God the Transcendent, then there is only “I.” If we center it at a level just below that, then “I” becomes many.
At the highest level (of the Father, Parabrahman), there is no separation on any level. One step down (at the level of the Self or Atman), there is separation at the level of individuated consciousness. At lower densities, there are separations at the level of lives, at the level of multidimensional beings, emanations, aspects, etc. – the illusory separations quickly multiply the further we go into density, as they were intended to.
There is nothing that has occurred that was not intended. There is nothing that has occurred that was not planned.
Some new separations open up – such as the separation called the physically-ascended light body in a physical Fifth-Dimensional setting. Some old separations – such as separation at the level of the Third-Dimensional physical body and setting – may close down. Illusory life is dynamic.
And every division, every “separation” is illusory at the very highest level though seemingly real at the level of its occurrence.
Thus all illusions are real and not real, depending on where one is seeing from.
