LIVE: Award ceremony and rally held for Assange outside Belmarsh prison

A rally in support of jailed whistleblower Julian Assange takes place outside Belmarsh prison, in London, on Saturday, September 28. Activists will hold an award ceremony to honour Assange just ahead of the demonstration.

The WikiLeaks founder will receive in absentia the ‘Gavin MacFadyen Award’ for “Extraordinary courage and self-sacrifice in the service of truth.” The prize will be granted to John Pilger on behalf of Assange by Eileen Chubb from the Compassion in Care organisation.

Archangel Michael: Everything that has need to be eliminated, everything that has need to be relinquished, everything that has need to be healed in this cesspool that we call ‘chaos’ has need to come to the surface.
