ParticipantWhat are some of the foods and other items like medical supplies and necessities that everyone is stocking up. Water is at the top of my list as well as dry goods. I’m
sure electricity will be an issue unless one has a gas generator? -

ModeratorHi, 4Barlprod, nice to see you here.
Personally, I’m using up my excess supplies and don’t plan to overly stock up. In Santa Barbara / Goleta, I feel in a true emergency we’d be a well provisioned community.
I’d keep extra food of the type we eat regularly like pasta, rice, etc., if I did want extras on hand.
I don’t personally feel there’s going to be the extreme situations that many ppl forecast, but that’s just my opinion.
As always, do what feels right for you. 💗
Best,

ParticipantThank you!☺️ I haven’t been “moved” to overly stock as well! I do keep extra this and that on hand especially water, but pretty much always have!

ModeratorHi Annie! Always nice to have a “real name” to go with the handle.😘
I have a feeling that a lot of us are being a little bit prudent but not overly so. I have a couple of friends in the awakening community who feel secure that they will be taken care of. And another one or two who are very proactive with stocking up. Like most things, it’s individual preference. Especially in suburban/city areas, it seems unlikely that we will run out of everything. If I were in a remote area I think it would be common sense to be stocked up on essentials in case access was blocked due to weather etc.
Hugs,

ParticipantIt would be so easy for the food supply to be disrupted. A bridge or two out here or there, blocked shipping lanes for ships, the internet is down and shipping is haulted. London Drugs had to shut down for 2-3 weeks due to a cyberattack. The internet, cell service, food supply, energy supply, it’s all at risk. And it could be at risk just because of severe weather. There’s definitely a potential threat. It’s not like it was 20 years ago.
