I just received an insight into unitive consciousness. Thank you to whomever I received it from – Mother, Michael, Annastara. My inner voice. (1)
First let me say that I’ve never been able to get my head around unitive consciousness. I do know why.
You’re talking to an adult child who felt betrayed by his father and abandoned by his mother. I don’t need anyone, right? Right.
So I’m not known for outstanding compassion. I was more known for being a global policeman, the hammer of God.
I’m not well disposed towards making connections, letting people into my life, on and on. I’m said to bristle and have a “scared wolf” look.
Not needing people is for me what I earlier called a “grand motif.” (2) It ripples down through my life as a number one decision, a prime directive.
OK, I have to add one more dimension, element, color. Take this kid who doesn’t need anyone and drench him in love and bliss for a year (2015-6). Now you’ve added one arrow to his quiver. Just one arrow. No compassion, but love.
So here labors our hero, in a rut. He cannot understand unitive consciousness and, whaddya know, he also cannot understand compassion. Are they not related? Do the two not go together?
Are they not like in-breath and out-breath? Compassion —-> Unitive consciousness —-> Compassion?
I didn’t go that route.
Hmmmm….
Let that all be background.
The insight I was given was that I do so know what unitive consciousness is. It’s simple.
(A) I know love. (B) I know that love is by its very nature universal. Love cannot be any other way. (C) When I’m in that Ocean of Love, I’m one with everything, which, unsurprisingly, is also love. Love is unitive consciousness.
Message from your Inner Commander: Steve, don’t complicate matters! And don’t get caught up in words. Just love.
Don’t even give another thought to unitive consciousness unless it’s your chosen field. And for a lad who feels betrayed and abandoned and finds it hard to connect but not to love, it does not appear to be your chosen field.
Love is.
Footnotes
(1) I wrote this before reading Jesus through John this morning:
“Heart-centered consciousness is the state in which, as humans, you feel only love for all life, knowing that you are one with all life.” (“Jesus Through John: Nothing can Forestall or Circumvent the Divine Will,”
One might also say, “knowing we are one with all life through feeling only love for all.”
