From God we came; to God we return
Rather than assume anything, let’s look at a matter to do with Ascension that we may be overlooking.
Ascension puts the emphasis on advancing from one dimension to … a higher one. And it’s followed by another Ascension and another and another.
What is all this advancing designed to do? To raise us in our consciousness until we are able to receive, accept and realize that we are the One and no other.
When we so realize, we give God the sublime opportunty to meet itself: that is, God meets God in a moment of our enlightenment.
Apparently we keep our separate identity after mergence: we re-emerge, a brilliant light in the universe. (1)
In my view, we lightworkers are waiters at the banquet of Ascension. So for this lifetime, we put personal enlightenment somewhat aside (hard to do in a time of ascension) in order to keep our attention on our service. (2)
That’s not to say that we’re not given what Michael once called “upgrades” to see that we can accomplish our service:
AAM: You have received several upgrades in terms of what you would think of as your levels of enlightenment. So it is not that those adjustments have been absent. But let us also say that right now if you were to complete your full ascension, many of you would not bother to stay and finish the creation of Nova Earth.
Steve: So you really have to meter it out to us, so to speak, so as not to send us flying off into some other pursuit?
AAM: That is correct.
Steve: But we will have enough to do the job, enough smarts, enough heart…
AAM: Think of it as growing every day. Then you are given more responsibility, more allowance, and more cooperation. You begin to fully see us and engage with us. Many of the Masters return. So that you’re given all that you need to expand like a flower blossoming. (3)
Some of these “updates” have been:
- 1987: A vision of the purpose of life. The purpose of life is enlightenment. When one of us realizes themself as God, God meets God. And for that meeting was all of this created.
- 2015: A heart opening, which left me in Seventh-Dimensional love, whose sublimity surpassed anything I’d ever dreamed of. (4)
- 2018: A sight of the Self, in the bottom of my heart, the seat of my Soul. It left me with an indelible knowledge of my own innocence and purity. (5)
- 2026: Factory Reset; when I implored heaven for increased wherewithal to do the job I’m doing, I experienced a falling away of what Wilhelm Reich called our “character armor.” The mental weight, the burden of all my mistakes and blunders, along with all strategies designed to avoid these unpleasantries in the future, just dropped away. (6)
Each one of these events has helped me prepare for what Michael has already told me is coming down the road. And each one has built a closer bond of trust in me for him.
But to return to our opening point, the accent on ascension shows that the purpose of our lives is enlightenment. Its purpose is to offer God the chance to meet God. Life operates to move us forward and move us forward, towards that meeting. And since we are God, God’s Plan is our Plan too.
And the way it’s further designed, so I’ve been told, is that the farther down the road we go, the more blissful and peaceful we become. What’s not to like about that?

Archangel Michael: When you go home, and you can reunite in the Heart of of One, do not think that you go off on another tangent or another journey simply because you feel like it or because you are earning your way back to that linear path. You go back out into the universe as a brilliant spark of pure light!
So you come, you return, you gain not only understanding, wisdom, knowledge – what you can think of as spiritual regeneration – and then, in concert with many, including your guides and guardian angels and, many times, whoever you are going to be working with – for example, myself or Archangel Raphael – you emerge again.
