I personally don’t think there’s a hope in Hades of me being able to guess what motivates, say, a Donald Trump or a Tulsi Gabbard.
There are reasons why some matters should be shared. There are reasons why other things should not. There are reasons why some things should be shared in part, leaked, or ambiguously worded.
At the same time, there are people who are paid to connect the dots and to obscure the dots.
I deal in the big picture. I’m constantly resisting the impulse to specialize in a field. If there’s any field I’m specializing in, it’s the study of the purpose of life. (1)
I never want to let anyone leave this site without knowing that purpose so let me share it here as I received it: To know who we truly are is the purpose of life because, when one of us realizes themself, God meets God. And for that meeting was all of this, seen and unseen, created.
Oh no, you say. That’s God’s Plan. It isn’t my plan. So what can I do?
Are you not God? Is not everything seen and unseen not God? Is this grass not God? That deer?
Since everything is God, you must be as well. And since you are God, is God’s Plan not your Plan as well?
If there’s one person on Earth who hasn’t heard this, my mission is incomplete.
Aside from all the positive contributions of that knowledge, it removes some negatives as well. Like feeling as if life is not going anywhere or that life is purposeless. What’s the use of going on?
Oh, no, no, life is a continual learning experience that takes us nearer and nearer to Self-Knowledge.
AND the closer we come to that Knowledge, the better we feel. Would you turn down an hour of bliss? An experience of a love that will cause your ears to perk up and rotate 180 degrees while you mutter, “what the heck was THAT?”
It’s just that we don’t know about any of this (it isn’t taught in school) that we spend time pondering a purposeless life.
So just like a drop of mercury, your plan – you sleeping God, you – is to reunite with the big pool of mercury.
And then return to the world a brilliant point of shining white light. (2)
I would say that’s not a bad future, not a bad future at all.
