A rumor is circulating that Apple is removing the Telegram app from our iPhones without consulting us.
It may be a fraudulent repeat of a 2018 news story (rumor) from the BBC; we don’t know.
But if you want to prevent it, if the rumor is true, here’s a video that I followed that prevents Apple from automatically deleting the app (or any app). Kathleen has also contributed an easy-to-follow diagram.
After the alarm is over, you may want to switch back – or not. I personally would want that extra level of security now that I know that automatic deletion by Apple can happen.
I imagine you’d need to hurry to prevent Telegram from being automatically eliminated from your desktop if the rumor is true.
