Having spent eight years applying human-rights treaties, charters, and statutes to refugee claims, I regard the whole idea of human rights as many people do a religion.
However, I’d like to see an expanded Universal Declaration of Human Rights – a truly universal UDHR, so to speak. A UDHR that expands its horizons beyond the merely terrestrial, beyond even the merely human.
I hope that the next generation of human-rights statements will include, incorporate and assimilate the universal or natural laws that relate to whichever clause is in question and whatever form life has taken in the universe.
The law of free will, for instance, which applies commonly in the universe, (1) mandates that we allow everyone to develop along lines they decide and make the choices they wish to make, unimpeded, provided they not harm anyone else.
That statement is made with background knowledge of the purpose of life: To travel from God to God via the increasingly-expanding realization of who we are. (2)

As an ascended society, many of our existing problems will be solved. We won’t be killing animals – or each other. We’ll create what we need by thought. There’ll be no such thing as cold or hunger or thirst.
But such a society still gives close attention and ultimate respect to the universal law.
Only on 3rd/4th Dimensional Earth do all manner of people rub shoulders. Even on the Astral Planes, which is our 4th Dimension but without the burden of a physical body, people are sorted out according to their character.
The people who caused 9/11 and subjugated nations as a follow-on would be found on the Dark Planes; the people who are filled with love and compassion, if they’d be found on the Astral, would be in the Higher Summerlands.
But in what they consider to be “the physical world” (us), saint and sinner rub shoulders, the better and quicker for learning. People can make great spiritual progress, apparently, by being born into a lifetime on Earth.
All through this tapestry of dimensions, the way the Mother operates she’s laid bare for us in the natural laws.
In summary, I’d like to see the UDHR broadened to take into account the fact that we’re eternal spirits within a temporal body, journeying together from God to God and hopefully helping each other on the journey, in alignment with the Mother’s laws of nature and the universe.
