It is All in Your Heart You Know
[Steve: It is indeed.]
A great gift both my parents gave to me was the encouragement to question anything that did not resonate.
Not to accept anything as my truth just because someone else said it was right. Life was not about being right but about feeling right. Questioning was not about being skeptical but I took it to mean that things were possible until they no longer took me closer to my happiness. And that it did not make them lose any value for others, just no longer figuring in making sense in my world.
In questioning it was important to learn to distinguish between the bullshit and the wisdom.
I learned that the wisdom would fill only one or two books and the bullshit filled the library.
Libraries are like a gigantic yeast. The wisdom, the gems and the sweetness in a handful of books and people read these and write about what is in these books and what they think it means. And then others write about the books about the gems. Then others come in and write about the books, about the books, about the books……..and so the library keeps growing and growing like a huge Mind feeding on itself and burying, the now dusty and forgotten wisdom, deep in the recesses of the library (probably on closed reserve).
And in the current temporary “movie’, they censor, ban, and define anyone who questions official rhetoric as a ”conspirator’.
Our logical mind has been just like this only now the internet is our Goto.
It is like this in politics, business, education, health, law, in fact all our institutions where people meet to make changes, and end up making rules of “right” and “wrong”.
The heart knowing people, and their contribution, gets buried in the rhetoric of bullshit (mostly through old men, though not exclusively these days, who might otherwise be classified as senile and lost, unhappy souls).
“Words are like leaves, and where they most abound, true fruit of sense beneath is rarely found” (Alexander Pope).
So resist the search to be right, or the search for the right method, and simply go to your heart where there are no words, just illumination. Where the light is always on, and the feeling is always there.
That feeling of “rightness” of “yes”, of “aha”, of “Wow”, of Knowing in feelings.
No more argument.
It will never put you wrong, because from that place “wrong” has no existence. How could love exclude anything, how could compassion exclude anyone in your embrace?
And the beautiful secret is that you need no one else, or any special credential to go there, and that it is merely one loving breath away.
And when you are there everything comes together, everything makes sense.
Shine On Precious Souls.
I So Love You
