A penny dropped this snowy afternoon. A good omen, I’m telling myself, as the New Year approaches.
If the purpose of life is that God should meet God in a moment of our enlightenment, then that formulation alone means that, right now, at this moment, God is seeking God, to make that destined meeting possible.
When I’m seeking God, then God is seeking God. Does that not follow?
We’re all of us God seeking God. Whenever I say it, I get a resonant response from inside.
Very few of us know we’re seeking God. Fewer still might know that we’re God seeking God.
I’m not someone who needs to win his spurs. I’m not someone who has to pay a price. I’m not someone who has to reverse a condition of original sin.
I’m always, already God seeking God. I’m always, already innocent and pure.
Somehow that sentence either rings true or fully describes the situation. It fits and causes the penny to drop.
We’ve always been God; we are now; we always will be.
Like attracts like. Never mind there being a purpose to life. (1) This fragment of God irresistibly seeks the magnetic mother lode.
This God irresistibly seeks that God to be One. Despite all the outer coverings, oppositional feelings, hopes and fears, something inside of me pushes against everything illusory and wants to merge again with That from which it came.
