19 States Sue Biden Administration Over COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
Comes after Florida launches own lawsuit

Several U.S. states on Friday mounted multiple federal lawsuits against the Biden administration over its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal workers and contractors.
Texas sued individually in a federal court in Galveston. Another lawsuit, filed in a federal district court in Missouri involves Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Yet another lawsuit, filed in a federal district court in Georgia, involves Georgia, Alabama, Idaho, Kansas, South Carolina, Utah, and West Virginia.
The lawsuits come a day after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced he sued the administration over the same vaccine mandate. As of late Friday, the total number of states suing the Biden administration over the mandate is 19.
President Joe Biden on Sept. 9 issued a far-reaching executive order that requires almost all federal employees to get a COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment, including civilian federal employees and contractors. The order goes into effect on Dec. 8. Regular COVID-19 testing isn’t an option, but religious or medical exemptions from vaccination may be granted, according to the order. Contractors that don’t comply may lose out on government contracts.
All 19 states seek to block Biden’s requirement, arguing that the mandate violates federal procurement law and is an overreach of federal power. The states also argue that Biden’s vaccine mandate violates the 10th Amendment that separates the power between federal and state governments; uses federal spending to coerce the states, which is unconstitutional; and did not properly allow for 60 days of public comment.
The Biden administration did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Texas complaint (pdf), filed in a federal court in Galveston, asks the court to declare Biden’s vaccine mandate unlawful and to issue preliminary and injunctive relief to block it from being enforced.
“The Biden Administration has repeatedly expressed its disdain for Americans who choose not to get a vaccine, and it has committed repeated and abusive federal overreach to force upon Americans something they do not want,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement Friday. “The federal government does not have the ability to strip individuals of their choice to get a vaccine or not. If the President thinks his patience is wearing thin, he is clearly underestimating the lack of patience from Texans whose rights he is infringing.”
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, praised the lawsuit late Friday. “Under my Executive Order no Texan can be forced to take the vaccine shot,” he said on Twitter, referring to the order he issued on Oct. 11 that prohibits vaccine mandates by any entity. He added, “Biden’s order should be ruled illegal.”
The lawsuit accuses the Biden administration of “using subterfuge to accomplish what they cannot achieve directly—universal compliance with their vaccine mandates, regardless of individual preferences, healthcare needs, or religious beliefs.”
‘Unconstitutional, Unlawful, Unwise’
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson on Friday co-led a ten-state coalition in a lawsuit (pdf) against the Biden administration. The suit calls the administration’s mandate “unconstitutional, unlawful, and unwise.”
“If the federal government attempts to unconstitutionally exert its will and force federal contractors to mandate vaccinations, the workforce and businesses could be decimated, further exacerbating the supply chain and workforce crises,” Schmitt, a Republican, said in a statement. “The federal government should not be mandating vaccinations, and that’s why we filed suit today—to halt this illegal, unconstitutional action.”
In explaining how the vaccine mandate violates the Procurement Act, the complaint reads, “Far from increasing economy and efficiency in procurement, the contractor vaccine mandate will have deleterious effects on economy and inefficiency by causing the large-scale resignations of unvaccinated employees of federal contractors. These disruptive consequences will directly oppose both ‘economy’ and ‘efficiency.’”
Among other counts, the suit also contends the administration has violated the Anti-Commandeering Doctrine and the Administrative Procedures Act.
Georgia also led a multi-state lawsuit (pdf) against the federal mandates on Friday. A release from Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s office says the complaint, in part, explains how the Biden administration’s mandate has placed Georgia’s state agencies and officials in “an untenable position.”
“In addition to being an unlawful and unconstitutional overreach, this vaccine mandate on federal contractors will only further divide Americans and hamstring our economy,” Kemp, a Republican, said in a statement. “Polling shows 70 percent of unvaccinated Americans say they would quit their jobs if their company required the COVID-19 vaccine. From an employer’s perspective, 9 in 10 fear significant reductions in their workforce if they had to implement vaccine mandates.”
He added, “We will not allow the Biden Administration to circumvent the law or force hardworking Georgians to choose between their livelihood or this vaccine.”
The suit argues that the mandate could only stand if Congress had passed it in a law.
States furthermore argue that a large number of federal contract workers will quit over the mandates, meaning states are caught between breaching the federal contracts either because of not being able to complete all the work due to staffing shortages, or because of retaining unvaccinated workers, thereby violating the federal vaccine requirement.

Florida has officially become the nation’s leader in getting the Covid-19 crisis under control – and the best part of it all, they validated their strategy of ignoring the ‘expert advice’ of the tyrannical public health regime in the process.
According to the most recent data that was published by the CDC, Florida now owns the LOWEST rate of new Covid-19 cases in the nation on a per capita basis. The state checks in well below several other democrat havens, including ones that employ the most restrictive mandates (California, New York), and also the states with the highest vaccination rates in the country (Vermont, Rhode Island).
The latest numbers are just more proof that the Democrats’ dystopian policies to combat Covid do nothing other than crush people’s freedoms.
Florida is now averaging just 60.6 new cases per 100,000 residents a day, which blows several other blue states’ numbers out of the water. In comparison, New York’s case rate is more than DOUBLE, at 129.8, and Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware is approaching FOUR TIMES as bad, checking in at 211.1 new daily cases per capita.

Media didn’t disclose doctor’s $2M in Pfizer funding in coverage promoting child vaccination

Several of Canada’s largest legacy media companies failed to reveal nearly $2 million worth of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals funding that a leading pediatrics professor from Alberta has received while pushing for vaccination of 5-11-year-olds.
Dr. Jim Kellner, a pediatrician and University of Calgary professor, has been cited as an authority in dozens of articles published by CTV News, CBC, Global News, the Toronto Star, and the Globe and Mail on vaccinating children and other pandemic related issues.
Since 2014, Kellner’s research has received $1,940,443 from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for various vaccine studies, with the most recent grant of $787,004 being allocated until the year 2022.
Kellner’s research funding was not disclosed by the above outlets in numerous articles going back to 2020 despite it being publicly reported in his CV, which is published on the University of Calgary’s website.
According to his CV, the latest spate of funding is for “Calgary Area Streptococcus pneumoniae Epidemiology Research” and a “Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine.”
True North reached out to Kellner for comment and clarification regarding his Pfizer funding and media appearances but did not receive a reply by the time this article was published.
Throughout the pieces where Kellner is cited, he is alternatively referenced to as a “professor and researcher,” “pediatrician”, “infectious disease specialist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital,” ”infectious disease expert”, “member of the federal COVID-19 Immunity Taskforce” and other variations. Kellner is also employed by Alberta Health Services.
An article published by CBC News this Wednesday titled “Wondering about vaccinating younger kids against COVID-19? Alberta experts weigh in,” cites Kellner on the topic of giving the Pfizer vaccine to kids without referencing his funding.
“From my perspective the risk benefit analysis is showing there’s a definite benefit to providing the vaccine to prevent infection and prevent serious outcomes of COVID-19,” Kellner is quoted as saying.
In another article published in April by the public broadcaster, Kellner encourages expanding the groups of people eligible for a COVID vaccine “especially by age” and is quoted as saying that “the No. 1 thing that can make a difference is vaccination.”
According to CBC search results, Kellner’s name turns up over 41 times and appears in numerous videos and articles on the topic of vaccination without any indication of how much money he has received from the vaccine manufacturer Pfizer.
Government of Canada data shows that the Pfizer-BioNTech (Cormirnaty) vaccine is the most used vaccine in Canada with over 14 million Canadians having received at least one dose of the product.
In an article published in June by the Globe and Mail, Kellner questions the protection natural immunity offers.
“We’re encouraging and it’s recommended that people who’ve had COVID get vaccinated, and you could argue that people who have had COVID may be more likely to get vaccinated, having had the experience,” Kellner told the Globe and Mail.
The outlet has cited Kellner as an authority at least seven times.
As for the Toronto Star, Kellner shows up as an expert in at least 11 articles, many of which promote vaccination of children all without disclosing his funding.
The latest article published on October 18, 2021, features Kellner discussing Pfizer vaccine trials on kids and is quoted alongside Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
Similarly, Global News cites Kellner numerous times including in interviews on his research on COVID-19 and children without revealing his nearly $2 million in funds from Pfizer.
As for CTV News, Kellner makes several headline appearances in his role as a pediatrician including in an article dated October 20, 2020.
“If a higher percentage of children attending school can be vaccinated, that’s going to be an important part of helping make things safer going forward, and helping us get back to normal,” Kelner is quoted as saying in the article which doesn’t disclose his funding from Pfizer.
According to CTV News’ search results, Kellner’s name is cited in at least four articles on COVID-19 going back to 2020, none of which mention his ties with the vaccine manufacturer.
True North has reached out to all of the relevant outlets cited in this article but did not receive a response by the given deadline.
As exclusively reported by True North earlier this month, the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star similarly didn’t disclose the AstraZeneca funding of prominent op-ed writer and professor Mark Lautens.

In a video leaked by a whistleblower within the New York City Police Department, NYPD Commissioner Dermont Shea urges police officers to take the $500 bonus and comply with the mayor’s vaccine mandate by Friday’s deadline or else be placed on unpaid leave on Monday when the city’s verification of vaccine status ramps up.
“We’re at the end of the wire here. It is now Wednesday morning. By Friday you’re supposed to be vaccinated,” the top cop warns in an internal video memo circulated among NYPD staff on Wednesday.
New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio initially attempted to bribe the public into getting the jab by offering freebies — teaming up with fast-food chains like Shake Shack to offer free burgers to the public in exchange of getting vaccinated.
In September, the Democrat Mayor coaxed city workers coaxed into getting the first vaccine with an offer $100 bonus. Unable to coerce one hundred percent of the workers into compliance, many opted to take a Covid test weekly instead of getting the jab, prompting the mayor to up the vaccine reward money to $500 ahead of the Nov 1. deadline.
Police officers who have yet to comply with the vaccine mandate are still eligible for a $500 bonus incentive if they follow the mayor’s before Friday, Shea assured.
“What does it mean if you haven’t been vaccinated? Well, what it means is starting on Monday you will be put in a no-pay status. I know there’s a lot of questions about this. I wish I had all the answers. I don’t at this point in time. Some of this is still being worked out with City Hall and collective bargaining and unions and things of that nature,” he said. “You have to be vaccinated by Friday. In fact, they’re still doing this $500 if you get vaccinated between Oct. 20 and Oct. 29 and that’s Friday’s date.”
Those who refuse to get the vaccine by Monday can kiss their jobs goodbye, the commissioner continued.
“On Monday when this thing really starts being enforced, we’re going to check your vaccination status and if you’re not vaccinated, no pay, and you’re gonna be not able to work,” he said.
The prospect of no pay will force workers to comply, boasted De Blasio boasted on Thursday.
“We expected that a lot of the vaccinations would happen toward the end of the deadline,” the Democrat mayor said. “We also know a lot of people make the decision once they really realize that they’re not going to get paid. That’s just the human reality.”
On Tuesday, approximately 73 percent of the department’s workforce, which includes nearly 35,000 uniformed officers and just under 18,000 civilian employees, had been vaccinated, the New York Post reports.
While hundreds more lined up to get the jab before Friday, the vaccine mandate is resulting in a slew of NYPD retirements. The dwindling police force will further hinder the department’s ability to keep the Big Apple safe.
Liberal pushes to “defund the police” have led to soaring crime rates in the city. In July, De Blasio backed a city council vote to slash the police budget by $1 billion, prompting crime to spike, lagging police response times and more than 5,300 uniformed officers to retire — a 75 percent increase in resignations from the year before.
United Airlines pilot leads COVID revolt, files medical freedom lawsuit with 2,000 fellow workers
(LifeSiteNews) – This airline pilot is taking a stance in the frontlines of the battle against the COVID medical tyranny. But she is not alone. She is joined by two thousand other workers from United Airlines who are suing the company over their ‘vaccine’ mandate.
Captain Sherry Walker, a pilot with 30 years experience, is the co-founder of Airline Employees 4 Health Freedom (AE4HF), started up to represent and support nearly 4-thousand airline industry workers to push back jab mandates in their workplace.
Walker described how since August 6, United Airlines began a ‘vaccine’ mandate for all employees with no exceptions allowed. She said that this process is “onerous and potentially not legal, depending on how that turns out in court,” since it does not allow for religious exemptions protected under Title VII of the US Civil Rights Code.
Walker highlighted how the only “reasonable accommodation” the airline corporation offered to the workers was unpaid, indefinite leave, which she said “basically amounts to self furlough.”
Thankfully, a court gave the airline employees a victory in September: a temporary restraining order from this “accommodation,” so that for two weeks they could keep working normally. “Within 12 hours of that agreement, they [United Airlines] reneged on that,” she added.
Walker stated that Airline Employees 4 Health Freedom will continue to move forward with lawsuits.

The pilot pointed out that AE4HF began with 184 employees and today has almost 4,000 members. They have filed a lawsuit in protection of religious freedom in the Fifth Circuit in Texas.
Walker told me that all the workers are standing together strong, supporting and motivating each other to keep in the fight.
She mentioned that their goal is to bring back the foundations in which America was built on to society for future generations. “In the name of the Father we are standing here today to say no more,” Walker said. “You cannot tread on our faith. We have constitutional rights.”
We’ve heard that New Zealand is a country that many of the elite feel will be safe for them to relocate to if and when their future seems threatened.

D.C. Judge Blocks Military Members And Employees From Being Fired Over Vaccine Mandate After Lawsuit
Several unvaccinated government employees, including active-duty military members, who were named in the lawsuit challenging the president’s vaccination mandate as illegal were granted a temporary restraining order on Thursday by a federal judge in Washington.
The plaintiffs are requesting a religious exemption from the Biden vaccination requirement for federal employees, which was originally disclosed officially on September 9.
As reported by Fox News, District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ruled that none of the civilian employee plaintiffs would be subject to discipline while their request for a religious exemption was ongoing.
Additionally, according to Judge Kollar-Kotelly’s judgment, Kotelly’s active-duty military plaintiffs whose religious exemption petitions have been refused will not be penalized or separated while their appeals are pending.
Jenna Ellis, a political journalist, and lawyer shared the decision on Twitter on Thursday: “This is an amazing development from the DC District Court in the stand for OUR RIGHTS against the unconstitutional vaccine mandates,” she said.
