Relentless
Struggling to hold myself ~ against the black cloth
It angers them, my need to breathe
Selfish, they tell to me, my loved ones
‘Oh ~ If I were free’
My thoughts
Searching others’ eyes, I push my cart
I used to hate coming here
Now it is the only here left
I crave
Some have given up, staying behind their masks
I must remain present, an act of defiance
To exist
We are no longer welcome here
Where?
Existing
They tell us it takes time
Time is the trap
And it goes round and round
The children will still meet your eye
They know
They know everything
It is for them, that I will not disappear
We cannot leave them to this
Fighting wages in the streets
my battle is within
I will not relent
