I’d like to look at an element of classical enlightenment theory, with the hope of adding on to our knowledge of it, if I’m right.
Classical enlightenment theory tends to look at a fourth-chakra heart opening as if it were “the first enlightenment,” “stream entering,” and “spiritual awakening.”
But I believe, based on my own experiences, that the heart opening is much more complicated than that.
In the first place, there is no spiritual heart shaped like a Valentine’s heart, or like the physical heart. There is what one sage called a pinprick of light, a “heart door” or hridayam, which is usually shut in everyone (among us playing the role of humans this lifetime). (1)
When it opens, and that can be by an explosion or an implosion, we’ll find ourselves in a higher dimension. According to Michael, I found myself in the Seventh Dimension, awash in what I then called “transformative love.” (2)
I called it such because everyday love is impacted by the circumstances, advancing and retreating. But transformative love overcomes the circumstances and doesn’t allow them near it in consciousness.
We breathe air; they breathe love. That world works for everyone there.
But that’s not why I came in here. My point is that the view is more complicated than a unitary event in which we emerge illuminated. I was initially awakened by the experience of something blasting out from me, like a shell from a gun barrel.
And then I found myself in a river of love – with no mass, but instant spiritual impact. I think that this is what is being pointed at by being “baptized in the River Jordan.”
After a short time, in meditation, I saw the walls of the room I was in, cave in to a river love, which knocked everything down and became an ocean of love. I was cognizant of being separate (i/e., it was still a dualistic experience).
I assume I could have ended up on the Fifth or Sixth, but my guides, including the Mother (who is everyone’s guide) and Michael, and who direct all my experiences, chose the Seventh. (3)
I remained in the afterglow for several weeks and then it became less and less. That began on March 15. On Sept. 28, I spontaneously entered a state of bliss, and that lessened and disappeared by mid-January.
Most sages – Sri Ramakrishna was an exception – don’t talk a lot about their enlightenment experiences. And there wasn’t a conversation, as there is now with the Internet, to talk into. Michael once said to me that the ancient sages never thought in terms of mass communication. Theirs were solely guru/disciple relationships.
Now we think in terms of entrainment, he said. Influence, Reach. Our communications reach around the world. We assume a global impact of some sort or degree. Everything is different and the way we look upon spiritual transmission is different.
I’ve never seen discussions of the higher-dimensional states in western literature, save Franklin Merrell-Wolff. (4) But they are part of many eastern texts, by different names (lokas instead of planes, etc.). (5)
Many people are now talking about the Wave of Love. When it happens it’ll be the equivalent of a fourth-chakra enlightenment. It’ll separate the decent and moral from the vicious and evil. From then on we’ll march from height to height, together to Ascension.
And that won’t be our last. After that, plus 200 years off, we have a universal Ascension, in which the principles. that we establish as observers of this Ascension will become closely studied by the next Ascension team. Including us. (6)

(3) Steve: Now, implicit in what you are saying, Mother, is something that hasn’t been really talked about very much and that’s that the archangels or somebody else is managing our enlightenment experiences, timing, intensity.… Am I correct in that?
Divine Mother: It is a Board of Directors rather than being, “managed by.” That concept, the way that you have phrased it, dear heart, implies that you are being “managed” and that is not correct.

Now also know, and it is delightful to speak about this … the timing, the pacing (and when I say “pace,” I mean the sequential unfoldment) of an Enlightenment process is such that of course you have a guardian and usually an archangel that is working with you so that it is humanly and can we say, soul or esoterically – via your universal self – managed. (5) When I was studying classical enlightenment theory in the nineties, I did not study the literature of the lokas. Only enlightenment itself. I was looking for expanded discussions of what I had seen in my Feb. 15, 1987 vision. It established in me the sentence I was left with: The purpose of life is enlightenment. It sent me off in a search of classical sages to expand my understanding of what I had just seen.
