Writer’s Corner
Everything happens for a reason. Innately we know this is true. Yet in times of trial and tribulation, like what we see happening around the world, we choose to dismiss this truth.
The same can be said about faith. When challenges arise we allow our faith to wobble. When wobbles arise, we’re no longer in alignment with God.
Having faith is when we can stand in our truth and not waiver. Your truth is between you and God.
Perhaps everything is happening for a reason, and our personal and collective faith is being challenged and fine tuned on a much grander scale.
Can you feel a wobble? Is your faith being tested? I know mine is! It’s uncomfortable. However, when I’ve allowed myself the opportunity to sit with these wobbles and really feel them, I’ve been able to accept them and release them.
What do you feel when you look at world events, the news, your neighbor or that person? Do you feel joy, appreciation, kindness, gratitude, or do you feel rage, injustice, loneliness, or blame? The feelings we feel actually have nothing to do with them. Those feelings are in us. What is in one is in all. The gift they bring to us is the awareness of these feelings being mirror back to us.
Using the Ho’oponopono prayer has been helpful. For those of you not familiar with the Ho’oponopono prayer, it is a gentle way of forgiving yourself and others. It goes like this: I am sorry, please forgive me, I love you, thank you.
Say it as many times as you need to or until you feel the weight of whatever you’re holding on to dissipate.
What are you choosing to see in the world right now? Are you seeing solidarity happening around the world, or are you caught up in the loudness of the chaos and drama being reported?
If you’re only choosing to see the chaos and drama ask yourself where is the chaos in me? However, if you choose to see the remarkable unfolding of solidarity happening because of the uprising, you will discover a more balanced you.
When you choose a more balanced you, you contribute to the rebalancing energy of the world.
Everything is happening for a reason. Can you accept this? Acceptance of what is is not agreeing with it. It just is. It’s you being okay with what is in this present moment. That’s where and only where our power lies. Right here. Right now. Not in the past or in the future, but right now in this moment.
If you want to see change, change you first. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
What you see in the outer world is a reflection of your inner world. Life, everyone and everything in it is reflecting you back to you.
Our lives are always talking to us, giving us signs and messages. Learn to listen to and trust life.
We’re being fine-tuned. We’re remembering ourselves.
We all have an important role to play in the awakening and transformation of our planet. If we are to evolve we must see the Light of the soul within all people, knowing that each is a child of the one Creator. All lives matter.
We must find a way to come together.
The following is an excerpt from The Light Shall Set You Free, a wonderful book by Dr. Norma Milanovich and Dr. Shirley McCune:
“Let go of all hatred and anger, and say thank you for the lessons and the opportunities to raise your soul’s vibrational frequency into the Light. Without such an experience you would never be self-realized. Then love your opponent for making you the Master you are today. See your greatest enemy as your greatest friend, and rejoice that you have been sent such powerful teachers for they shall deliver you unto the Lord. “
“God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons we could not learn in any other way.” ~ C.S. Lewis
“You’re given this gift of your faith and your faith lights up the world.” ~ Jesus of Nazareth – Mary Magdalene movie 2018
“Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with you wherever you go.” ~ Joshua 1:9
Shine your light bright. Let your faith light up the world!
We need you now more than ever.
