Folks, it isn’t my place to be saying what Americans should be doing.
But, given the videos of people who haven’t even finished treatment for Covid-19 and the health-care bills are rolling in, if Americans banded together and insisted on an adequate, fully-covered universal medicare system, as a result of their experience with this pandemic, well, I don’t think I’d feel at all sorry.
For me, speaking as an outsider, it’s intolerable to see people totally overwhelmed with hospital bills when we here in Canada, Great Britain and other countries enjoy healthcare without ever seeing a bill.
You know that I went into hospital in October 2019, had a triple bypass, and went home without ever seeing a bill. In my opinion, that’s the way it should be. Medicare should be a human right.
Who among us will lead this battle, when it’s plain for all the world to see that healthcare for profit is totally unacceptable, in the face of the experience of other countries who have universal medicare systems in place? You?
Now is the time to take up the hue and cry, while the whole world is watching and listening. Everyone on Earth at this moment could appreciate such a development. Where is our Greta for medicare?
Universal medicare should be available in every country on Earth. It should be a basic human right to have taxpayer-paid, “free” access to medical care.
But the United States is a recognized world leader. If it happened in the U.S., chances are it would happen fairly quickly in other countries.
After the Reval, I promise you that it will become a reality if I have anything to do with it.
Opposition to universal medicare, I believe, comes from the elite who stand to lose a cash cow. Why do we listen to them? Someone tell me please.
Why do we accept the version offered by their servants in the mainsteam media? (Why is anyone still viewing and reading the mainstream media in the first place?)
Is it lethargy? Is it fear? Is it the self-serving credo of the MSM that we’ve bought and now agree with?
We’ve been sold a dream, which has very little chance of ever becoming a reality under present conditions. I wish it did, but I say it doesn’t.
I have a new American Dream and that’s a world safe for women and children, as well as men, a world where everyone has what they need, not only to survive, but to flourish and blossom.
Rugged individualism has become just an excuse for the elite holding on to their wealth. The whole thrust of events today is towards redistributing that wealth to offer happiness and opportunity to all, not just a small circle.
Watch someone call me a socialist. Shame on you, brother or sister. Stop that ridicule and own your own support for elitism. Those who ridicule are identifying themselves as deep-state standard bearers. I won’t even deign to reply to you.
What contribution can we make towards having universal medicare, now, in the United States and everywhere else? What would it take to have us forge ahead in action?
Do we need to see what this same elite has done to our children? Do we really want to see? Do we really want to know? Is that what it’d take to have us all get moving? If so, I’ll post the photos here…. Say the word. Share my own horror and grief. You too can burst out in tears every half hour. What fun it is.
But I don’t advise it, even if it was what it took to get me moving.
If not, then start in on whatever it takes to create universal medicare in America and everywhere else on Earth NOW.
Let’s have universal medicare legislation pass the House and Senate by Jan. 1, 2021.
Mr. Trump? Are you listening?
