Welcome to November!
Depending on where you live, it’s getting a lot colder outside and frost is covering the ground. October’s spooky vibes are giving way for the warm wintery (and pumpkin-spicey) November vibes to take their place.
It’s time to warm up and get settled in with a good book – or a good blog! (I know of a few great blogs, spiritual or otherwise, that are great to read while you’re warm and cozy.)
Interestingly, where I live in Illinois, we had snow yesterday on Halloween. This morning, Nov. 1st, we had our first big bout of frost covering the ground. All in all, this is looking to be a great, if not cold, November.
I wanted to give a short personal update ahead of the much more detailed update I plan to write soon.
After I published the last update to what is hopefully one of our final big appeals for reader support, I thanked each donator individually but went silent here on the blog for a couple weeks.
I hadn’t planned to go silent, but circumstances I’ll get into in the more detailed update necessitated I put my time and energy toward myriad other things happening in my life.
The biggest thing is that I’m still getting used to having a part-time job – a job I enjoy a lot more than I thought I would.
After I finish a few important things on my to-do list, my next task is to work on actually balancing writing and blogging with working the job.
I only work a few hours a day, so it won’t be too hard.
As far as my vehicle is concerned: thanks to our readers, we were able to afford the expensive transmission repair it needed.
Given that it has high mileage and it sat in our driveway unused for over a year; it has some other problems we’re working on getting fixed.
I’m trying to hold off on asking for any more reader support in fixing it because if all goes well, we might be able to finish its repairs without needing to ask for any more help.
Again, I’ll go into more detail about the car and everything else in the update next week.
I just wanted to drop in and let you all know that despite my recent lack of articles (I’ve still been blogging and sharing other great content), I’m still around and still intend to keep writing.
I’ll admit that between the part-time job, the car, and everything else that’s been happening; balancing it all with writing has been harder than I anticipated.
But I love a good challenge, and I know it’s all a part of the Universe’s plan for me.
I have zero doubts that getting a part-time job at the specific place I am now working has been a part of the plan all along. I’ll share more about that later as well.
In short, you can expect more original articles very soon – along with more personal updates that might take the place of monthly appeals on Openhearted Rebellion.
Thank you all so much for your support and patience. I’ve no time to proofread this update as I must get ready for work, but I hope you have an amazing November.
Check Openhearted Rebellion frequently for new articles and updates.
Much love!
