Our lifetimes follow a sacred arc from God to God, all the while spiralling back to the same unlearned lessons. (1) The arc is not visible in this cross-section but the spiral is.
We donned physical bodies and entered into a chaotic situation in part to anchor confidence in the Ascension process at a very deep level.
As I understand it, in conventional enlightenment studies in the old Third Dimension, one could not achieve enlightenment without first detaching from all desire.
So even a preference would hold us back.
However, as St. Germaine emphasized in 2014, “all the rules have changed. … That is the old paradigm.” (2)
And they’ve changed to fit the changing situation. How is it changing? For one thing, there’s a large body of people here in this lifetime who would identify with other planets. Starseeds they’re usually called.
Add to that the fact that these Starseeds have ascended in other lifetimes or they wouldn’t be here.
Add to that, as well, the reason they’re here – to assist Gaia and her willing inhabitants to ascend.
Notice that the reason we Starseeds are here is to serve. We serve Gaia and her Ascension.
So not personal enlightenment this lifetime. We already have it and will regain it when we leave here.
Instead, selfless service. Service to others.
There are two distinct orientations here. The servant serves others in this lifetime.
The serious seeker closes their personal/energetic boundaries to enable them to focus and go inward, into the cave of the heart.
If we Starseeds were not already enlightened, I’d complain that we were missing out here.
But two things persuade me otherwise. The first is just what I said, if we had not ascended in other lifetimes, how could we help with Gaia’s Ascension? Only in the most peripheral of ways.
But the fact that we’ve ascended earlier means that, at a very deep level of resonance, we already know how this ends and how wonderful it is.
That means that we can anchor in the collective consciousness, again at a very deep level, confidence in the Ascension process. I think that’s what Michael means when he talks about “anchoring.”

And that’s an important service in the whole unfolding and chaotic drama.
We can be waiters at the banquet of Ascension because – whether experienced in the moment or not – we’ve had our meal already and will have a second helping after the banquet.
The second thing that persuades me that the servant is not missing out is that service is itself a path to God. Hindus call it “seva” and “karma yoga.”
By serving, if we continue to desire enlightenment in this lifetime, we are actually approaching the God we want to know (which is us).
The servant and the served are God. Karma yoga is good at erasing boundaries between people, nurturing, I think, the realization of our true identity and our common unity.
So everything has changed. When I approach the situation from classical enlightenment theory, the terrain doesn’t fit the maps.
I had this conversation with Michael about the matter:
Steve Beckow: It’s very different from classical theory.
Archangel Michael: Classical theory has served you well. Now you are on a new course. (3)
I’ve needed to be perpetually open as one new fact after another contradicts what I’ve already learned.
