In a reading with Archangel Michael through Linda Dillon this past Friday, we discussed an uncomfortable situation I’ve been experiencing with a friend.
In the human sense, you could call this a ‘conflict’. In the spiritual sense, I can only describe it as a blessing, and an opportunity for growth for both of us.
The story of what’s transpired between my friend and me is not what’s important here so much as the process is.
In short, there’s been a significant shift in energetic dynamics between the two of us in the past month or so. I see it as a leveling of power within the friendship, where there was an imbalance before. This imbalance is traceable back to the less evolved time of 2011 when we met.
The result of the energetic shift has been an impasse in which there’s been no two-way communication for a few weeks, and there’s been some anger expressed from my friend. My response has been to refrain from responding at the level of the anger, or even directly to it, and to continue to invite peaceful communication and resolution.
Thus far, these invitations have been ignored. The unspoken message I’m perceiving is, “I’m in control. I won’t meet you in peace. I’m going to hold onto my sense of power by not responding to you.” This may well not be entirely accurate, but it’s how my imagination has filled in the gaps.
Bringing this back to my reading with Archangel Michael, when I told him of this situation, he suggested I reach out; and not in the more tentative way I’ve done up to this point, but in a stronger, bolder statement of loving, peaceful intent.
The words AAM gave me as an example of what I could say were, “I love you, I miss you, I want to make sure you know I’m here, and would you like to get together?”
I told AAM that the idea of putting my heart out there with no guarantee of my desired result felt like “going out on a limb,” to which he replied, “You went out on a limb when you came to planet!”
He also reminded me that it doesn’t matter how my offerings of peace and love are responded to. What matters is that in being a living example peace, I am “teaching humans the fullness of their humanity.”
This morning I composed such an email to my friend. So far, there has been no response. Perhaps there won’t be one for some time. I trust the heart opening will come in the long run, but in the short run the game appears to still be being played.
The human me is dying to see results. It says, “I know I’m here on Earth as a peacemaker. Why am I not achieving peace here!?” The human me can feel frustrated, even defeated.
This is where my big lesson lies, and I suspect there’s a lesson here for others too. Things are often not as they appear. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that if a situation doesn’t appear as something on the peace-love continuum it is of the old illusion.
We are here within the three-dimensional illusion playing out dramas of duality, where no such duality exists in the bigger picture.
The trick is not to get distracted from our knowing of Truth by what appears before us in the 3D world. The 3D world is dense, and often slow in manifesting what is already a done deal in 5D. The trick is keeping an unwavering focus on that energetically already-manifested result that we know to be the Truth.
There can only be peace; there can only be love. Anything not based on these qualities has no spiritual foundation, and therefore cannot survive.
Our knowing of this has to become so strong that any apparent evidence to the contrary doesn’t throw us into a tailspin.
As Archangel Michael told me, our inner knowing “must become rock-solid, yet always moving; because even a rock is not solid, it’s merely energy that has decided to become a boulder.”
It’s perhaps too easy to look around in the world and become disheartened, frustrated, defeated. It’s time to stop allowing the outside to dictate our feelings. It is so important to allow our inner knowing to become primary.
It’s the opposite of what we’ve been taught to believe, that the manifest world is primary and our inner world is ‘just a fantasy’, when in fact the opposite is true. Our inner world is what the manifest world is built upon.
I invite us all to disengage from the illusions of the old, and to become rock solid in our inner knowing of Peace, our inner knowing of Love, and our inner knowing of who we really Are; and to allow only those external manifestations that are reflective of these qualities to be those worthy of our sustained attention.
