“Escaping the Constructed Self” will continue Sunday.
And, if I may respond to Stephen, although I will keep it (relatively) short, given that Stephen has told the full story….
When Stephen initially approached me to be his guest on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), I ran to the Boss and said: “I don’t want to be on radio!” And he said: “You don’t have to.”
But, speaking further with Stephen, he assured me that he would present my views with integrity. And he did. When you’re a crazy, tin-top conspiracy theorist, that can be a concern.
The depth of Stephen’s integrity on that occasion has always been a source of marvel to me. Stephen was meticulous, but flowing, an almost-impossible combination. Working with him on that interview was effortless. And so it has always been.
Another thing that had me stop in my tracks was the incredible preparation he did for an interview and the resulting facility he had with the personal information he was supplied with. I was inspired by the command he had of it, even though he was preparing for what was in reality just a brief encounter.
Stephen took news editing away from me and I’ve never lost a night’s sleep over anything he put up. That even takes into account the fact that I’ve never had a full night’s sleep in the last five years anyways. (It’s 4 a.m. at the moment. I’m the only one who’s up when these two are up! Well, OK, England)
Meeting Anthony as well and seeing the depth of his humor and acceptance was also uplifting. Clearly they are a love match – and I say that to put a wedge in the door of any who might have feelings about same-sex couples. You need to get it: These two don’t care what you think. Outrageously, completely. (I hear Stephen saying: “So there!”)
To see what an incredible host Stephen was at the 2012 Scenario Conference in Sedona was more amazement. His presentation of his life as a being and as a lightworker was a tour de farce. (Couldn’t resist it, Stephen!) To die – laughing – for.
When Stephen’s in front of a mike, he’s the most uninhibited person I know. He dances around the room with the mike in his hand as if the two of them were engaged to be married. (See photo.)
Anyone who listens to him joking with Archangel Michael, or Sue Lie, or others on his The Light Agenda will probably agree that he’s a master at what he does.
And you don’t know the half of it. If I listed his accomplishments, this article would be long.
And Anthony’s generosity with his time and energy over all the graphics he’s done for us is again something I’m eternally grateful for. When they go on their leave, I hope they don’t take the site banner with them. (Joking!) If they took everything with them that came from them, we’d be The Lost World of Gaia instead of The Golden Age.
Never will the memories of working with Stephen and Anthony leave my mind. And I think that Andrea, Graham, Karen, Kathleen, Andrew and everyone else here at the Golden Age of Gaia would agree with me: These two are genuine characters, hugely-accomplished personalities. Thank you, AAM, for bringing us together.
And I cannot foresee Stephen, Anthony and I not working together in some way, shape or form. It doesn’t matter that they go on leave, go here, go there. We’d find each other even if they left.
For as long as you’re on leave, you will be missed, you down-under blokes. Even if you keep the craziest hours, are up when we’re down and down when we’re up, I’d hang upside down like an Australian fruit bat to have coffee with you in Tokyo or Manila.
Have we a date?
