In the course of his recent address to the McLendon Group at the National Press Club on investigative reporting, former CIA analyst Ray McGovern confirmed that the U.S. Navy on two occasions opposed U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran.
“[Ray] McGovern made an important point that bears repeating. He argued that leaders of the uniformed military service had gone to great lengths to avoid an Israeli attack on Iran and eventual U.S. involvement in a war that the leaders knew would harm the country. Admiral William Fallon, chief of U.S. forces in the Middle East, was adamant about the folly of an Iran-U.S war, however it started. While it cost him his job, it may have prevented one last desperate act by President Bush at the end of his second term.
“McGovern also reported frank talks between the current head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Michael Mullen, and Israeli leaders during which Mullen made a point clearly on an Israeli attack on Iran – don’t even think of it!. McGovern said that Mullen added emphasis by noting that he was old enough to recall the unprovoked and uninvestigated attack on the U.S.S. Liberty by Israeli fighters in the 1967 Israeli-Arab war.” (1)
In actuality, the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty was probably not an unprovoked attack by Israeli fighters but a false-flag operation that Israel carried out at U.S. request. It was supposed to result in the sinking of the Liberty, which would then be blamed on Egypt. (2) But the Liberty refused to sink.
That aside, the important part of McGovern’s comments is his noting that Navy personnel have twice stood between the U.S. and an attack on Iran.
Ray McGovern is best known for his fearless reporting of the 9/11 false-flag operation.
The Navy’s role in these events will become important later when the final showdown between black and white hats occurs, as I think it will. I believe that Ker-On’s words apply to them:
“Many of the personnel in your armed forces are honest souls dedicated to freedom and they shall quickly turn their attention to help making peace throughout the world. Many of those who have experienced death and destruction around them have had their fill and learnt lessons that will enable them to change direction. All are welcome into the Light and Love that heals all scars and injuries through the experiences of life.” (3)
