The latest from Paul Simone on Ellie’s condition:
I just got off the phone with Ellie’s son Jerry and he had some good news! Ellie will be coming home sometime tomorrow afternoon!
The doctors got the white cell count normalized and, of course, had to give her more blood. Her ulcer was cauterized and the blood vessel repaired.
However, her heart started to flutter and an EKG indicated some problems with the heart. Jerry said once she gets home and stabilizes she will need to see a heart doctor. When home she will be having home care come in for awhile in case anyone is wondering.
I’m sure her diet will need amending due to the ulcer and its cauterization, but that is doable and she’s tough.
So it looks like things are picking up with Ellie. She had asked me if I thought she should go to the hospital, as she didn’t want to do that, and I emphatically said yes to that. She was in terrible pain and crying; which she doesn’t do often I might add. So that worked out good.
That’s the report for today folks. Tomorrow is another day.
