I’ve just spent an hour over on UFO Blogger, watching videos on the situation in Libya and the motives attributed to the coalition forces by Russian and American commentators, commentators from the mainstream media, alternative press, and underground press.
I listened to accounts of how western witnesses for the Lockerby disaster were paid large sums of money to give tainted testimony and how they have since recanted their evidence. I heard opinions that Ghaddafi was attacked because he refused to accept the American greenback and wanted to use gold as the medium for buying oil. I heard Gaddhafi vilified and sanctified.
On and on the intrigue went. Who can one believe? Every side has its hands in the muck. My head is spinning.
And I asked myself: what does one do in the face of so many competing versions of events and agendas? How can one possibly keep up, not only with the intrigue that is happening today, but with the plots hatched years ago which are even now working their way through the system, producing action and reaction, counter-action and counter-counter-action?
And the answer comes back, without much delay: Reconfirm the basics. Check our fundamenetals.
And what is basic, fundamental?
Love is basic. Truth is basic. Peace, unity, harmony are basic. They are our life preservers, our raft in a stormy sea.
We are in the midst of a crowded fairway at carnival time, with people selling us rigged games and picking our pockets, offering us false miracles (the Virgin Mary) and manufactured spectacles and harmful events. All the while we know that the chaos will soon lift and the fairway close down and all the merchants of phoniness and fraud leave.
It’s a good time to breathe deeply, notice our rising confidence and competence, withdraw from all the noise and clamor, and recall what we’re doing here.
We are watching the dragon’s tail flail for the last time, the soldiers stare us down for the last time, and the merchants of fear and fabrication make their last pitch. There is in fact nothing we must do. We can act if we wish to but we could as well remain quietly in our cave and wait for the storm to pass.
We are assured of being guided from within and guided from without – if we but listen for that guidance. We are told that many of us have already made our agreements with life and have laid out our paths . There is no reason for worry save if we feel we must do it. . Times may be tough for many, but we’re assured this strenuousness, this struggle will pass. In the meantime, It;’s time to share.
As each day passes, we are told that the forces of Light make steady headway in cleaning out the stables and restoring peace to the land. We can watch events if we feel we need to or if it is part of our service role. But we can also watch a sunset, or swim in a pool, or play with children. All this will pass soon enough. And when it does, for us, it will never return. Mere months to go.
Mere months and those months could as well be spent in envisioning the new, the unified, or the harmonious, as watching the old subside.
