Unbelievably, those responsible for the oil-spill cleanup invited Louisiana resident Kindra Arnesan to be a “fly on the wall” at oil-spill cleanup headquarters. Wrong person to invite.
She sat there quietly. One of the things she saw BP called “ponies and balloons.”
Whenever an official came to visit the clean-up area, BP had 75 responders actively working the spill (the “ponies and balloons”). As soon as the official left, the ponies and balloons were retired and BP went back to doing practically nothing.
The most consistent refrain she heard: “We gotta cut costs.”
Arnesan has become a one-woman army exposing the bogus clean-up effort.
