I had this strange conversation today .
Made me wonder do non religious people see them selves as some kind of flesh made robot that talks and thinks and when they die all ends ?
How do they sustain a worthwhile feeling in their life ? How a feeling of meaningfulness ? ,,,, Many thoughts came up and I guess they don’t
Just short lived moments ?
Anyway a Video I think is Amazing , wanted to share that.
I am a deeply involved religious person myself , and there are more ! 🙂

I like to add an other question that bugs me a bit , I have been a vegetarian for many years , than at one point I stopped because it seemed to be that
The entire reality of being a vegetarian was just created of beliefs , that could also be different and be a different created reality. Are there none changeable fixed values or benefits to being a vegetarian ? Is there some absolute level of reality in it ?
I thought at the time You took part of the karma upon you of the life taken for no reason of the animals , no reason meaning humans don’t need meat at all.
I see myself turn back to vegetarianism not to long after this moment, For starts that there in no benefit in eating meats , And no need .

Hello lightone, some have said that not everybody we see is actually a real human with a soul – which if true could explain quite a lot.
Regarding vegetarianism, I once used to kill things and eat them. Now I don’t. Now I don’t eat things other people have killed either, with the exception of gelatin. How many children realize what their party jellies are made of?
I eat gelatin because my feeling is that my finger nails, tendons and skin need it. My justification for eating an animal product is that nobody kills a cow simply to get it’s hoofs. The cow gets killed for its meat – the hide, hoofs etc. are merely incidental by-products.
My way of thinking is that my consumption of gelatin does not affect whether or not cattle get slaughtered – but instead honors in part the remains through giving them a useful purpose.
By the way I no longer buy leather shoes or belts either.
My adult daughter, who lives with me, has recently progressed to being vegan after several years as a vegetarian, so cheese, milk etc. are now off the menu. Since I do most of the cooking it cuts down the number of acceptable dishes in my repertoire but we still eat really well and frankly I do not miss eating meat at all.
I used to live in a coastal area where many species of reef fish were caught and sold fresh in the local shopping center. Walking past the big display of still beautiful but dead reef fish literally used to leave me with tears in my eyes. Also, it does actually strike me as very odd that it is considered absolutely normal for supermarkets to display bits of dead animals, all neatly cut up and packaged in little boxes.
Somehow I doubt so many people would eat meat if they personally had to first kill the animal and then butcher it themselves.Anyone who closely watches fish, birds or animals and gets to know them soon realizes that is a lot more going on than the casual observer would realize. Even fish have different personalities and demonstrate far more intelligence than they are given credit for – and birds are simply amazing.
How could anyone who knows this eat them? -

SteveKand , yes good stuff I agree the compassionate feelings for other sentient beings is a good point . Its so easy to fall into the trap of buying the end product not feeling what came before it ends up in the super market. Animals have souls and consciousness, Thanks for answering

The school system pushes children to grow up believing in atheism. Its horrifying to think the fear these people must live in. But then, perhaps not all of them are real people and many of the ones who believe that are just “flesh robots”. We may never know for certain, which is why we must respect all people equally. This world may also be more akin to a virtual reality, but the lessons we learn here are equally valuable as the higher and more real dimensions, and our actions are of equal energetic consequence.
Animals are people too, just of a different species. So I would call killing and animal “murder”, and eating an animal “cannibalism”.
