Katie Zacharia’s been a non-anonymous Anon on Truth Social and X since early 2022.
The President noticed and liked her frequent appearances as a commentator on Fox News and Newsmax defending the administration, and over the summer, he sent her congratulatory messages. Finally, on October 6th, he called her himself to offer the position of White House Press Secretary.
I have to say that even as qualified as she is, why she was given all of 6 days to prepare for her first briefing is kind of a question. Her debut was met with much criticism. I watched it, and did cringe a little seeing her just read a prepared statement, clearly a bit nervous (and also happy to be there, understandably).
The media has not been kind about it.
She’d been a senior communications adviser at Trump Media & Technology Group / Truth Social since June of this year, so she was already inside his media operation. I imagine somebody on the team gave the CiC a heads-up about her prolific Q drop-following ways.
Katie’s social media postings included things like:
- Biden receiving an improper gun salute on inauguration day as evidence of devolution, or continued military control;
- Labeling John Podesta a pedophile multiple times, and urging Fox News to feature him as such;
- Declaring that “radical left Hollywood elitists are sick pedo cannibals;”
- Engaging with users interpreting Trump’s water-drinking as a signal tied to specific Q drops;
- She also paid tribute to Robert David Steele for “exposing the pedo rings of the elite cabal;”
- Linking to reposts about Putin being at war with the cabal;
- That Democrats’ platform is to “mask and rape your children” in satanic fashion;
- Related Podesta/Biden/Antifa pedophilia allegations;
- She’s called Bill Gates a eugenicist pushing a “toxic jab;”
- Retweeted false claims of widespread COVID-vaccine miscarriages;
- Questioned whether the DOJ was covering for people implicated in Epstein crimes;
- Asserted that the 2020 election was stolen;
- Alleged transgender assailants committed multiple school shootings;
- Urged suspending habeas corpus; and
- She suggested a federal takeover of California under Trump.
Caroline Leavitt is a hard act to follow, for sure, but I think Katie will find her groove. The Team will likely rally around their new Press Secretary, and they’ll get her what she needs to do the job, and do it well.
This, in conjunction with kicking fake news out of the gaggle…well it just makes my heart sing, imagining that journalism might actually be moving towards integrity.
