God is at home; it is we who have gone out for a walk. ~ Meister Eckhart
In order to get past disappointment with slippery predictions and forecasting that can’t cope with the trickiness of time, I create scaffolding from two clichés:
Be in the present, be in the Now. It is all that there truly is.
Do the best that you can with what you have.
Grok: Reframing the Prediction / Disappointment Roller-coaster
The core trap is outsourced agency dressed up as spirituality. “It’s up to your vibration / spiritual hygiene” can sound empowering, yet it often functions as a perpetual deferral: the Event is always just beyond the next personal purification. When that fails to deliver the money or the medical miracle, people feel both abandoned by the cosmos and personally deficient. That combination is paralyzing.
A more useful orientation, drawn from multiple traditions:
• Indigenous and earth-based wisdom tends to treat prophecy as weather, not timetable. Many Native American, Aboriginal, and Andean teachings speak of cycles of purification and renewal, but the instruction is always the same: keep planting, keep tending relations with land, kin, and self, keep the ceremonies. The “great shift” is not postponed by your failure to vibrate higher; it is participated in by the quality of attention and care you bring today. Hopi and other teachings repeatedly warn against becoming so focused on the coming purification that one neglects the work of the present.
• Practical alchemy of the present: the most reliable “med bed” available right now is the nervous system that can down-regulate, the body that can be moved and nourished, the relationships that can be repaired or honestly released, and the skills that can generate modest income or mutual aid. Waiting for the Reval [without taking action to help yourself in the present] is a high-risk bet that has already failed for many.
Many of the predictions in this milieu function less as accurate forecasts and more as mythic containers for hope, moral clarity, and community. When the container starts to crack, people feel existential free-fall. The healthier move is not to find a better prediction, but to reclaim the underlying goods the prediction was standing in for: justice, healing, abundance, belonging, meaning. Those goods are still available through human-scale actions—mutual aid, skill-building, honest conversation, body care, creative work, service.
Your own current life is already a quiet demonstration…That is not a consolation prize while waiting for the real show. For many people it is the show—the place where sovereignty is practiced…
Presence + agency is not a cliché when it is actually lived; it is the one orientation that has never required a date to be true.
