YouTube Notes:
Lahaina (We’re Still Here) is an original song and cinematic music video about memory, loss, resilience, and the people who continue to call Lahaina home.
The devastating 2023 wildfire changed Lahaina forever, taking lives, destroying homes and businesses, and displacing generations of families. But Lahaina is more than buildings and streets. It is history, culture, family, memory, and a sense of place that cannot simply be erased.
**Lahaina is still here…Its people are still here…Its story is not over.**
Through music and imagery, Lahaina (We’re Still Here) looks beyond the fire itself to the deeper story of a community holding onto its home, its history, and its identity. My hope is that this film helps keep attention on Lahaina, and reminds people that recovery does not end when the headlines disappear.
