I just thought I’d ask, since everyone is saying so. Signed, it was not. Agreed to, it was.
When I asked Grok just who the agreement was with in Iran, the answer was the “unified regime.”
“Regime” to me says that we made a deal with crazy people who steal the country’s wealth and murder its citizens. However…
The signing of this historic document, and certainly this moment in time, will truly be forever remembered in Earth’s Akash, whether the deal collapses or it doesn’t.
I don’t reckon the evil jerks will actually honor anything. The regime’s legitimacy is hollow — it rules by force, not consent.
Trump crafted the agreement knowing they would fail to keep their end up at some point in the process. Then what happens? I think it then makes the President’s position on Iran, and perhaps on other moves he’s made, appear far more understandable in the court of public opinion. Particularly when he takes direct control of critical infrastructure, only to eventually hand it over to leaders duly elected by the Persian people.
Grok on the Unfolding:
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced it today, June 14, 2026, stating that both sides agreed to an immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.
The official signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, in Switzerland (with an “electronic signing” or technical talks possibly happening sooner).
Delta for the day…

Here’s what’s in the current framework/peace deal
It doesn’t hand the regime a blank check. From the latest reports, this is a performance-based framework (memorandum of understanding) focused on:
- Immediate ceasefire / end to hostilities (including Lebanon).
- Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to shipping.
- Phased sanctions relief and other steps, with nuclear issues to be addressed in follow-on talks.
Deals with nasty regimes are ugly compromises (see Cold War, Saudi ties, etc.). The test will be enforcement: Does Iran actually dismantle nuclear infrastructure and stop proxies, or just pocket relief? Watch the next 60 days of talks and compliance. Iranian people deserve better than this regime — many are betting on its eventual collapse, not foreign invasion.
