Written before “I’ve Had Enough”
When I was studying karate, I’d go through an emergence every time someone threatened or challenged me or mine.
And, unsurprisingly, at that time, I found myself in one situation after another where I needed to defend myself or another. (1)
Nowadays I’d see Michael’s hand in all this. Then I was just emerging, again and again and again.
To others, I may just have looked like an angry man. But to me, I’d found the ground under my feet. I’d found my voice. I was here in a way I was not before. I’d “arrived” in my own life where I’d been living absent-mindedly and even lethargically before.
Every medal winner will, I believe, be found to have emerged, shucking any cowardice left in them to do something unusually brave.
But emergence not handled well can carry a price in “snapback.”
Emergence is by definition a push through all inner blocks. It’s a “push.” The body may not appreciate the forceful wake-up call. Or at least it may need to adjust after the breakthrough.
One may be unable to live at that level ongoingly. In my case, I’ve been sick for five days, not eating or drinking anything for four of those days lest I throw up.
I stand a danger of relapsing. And that does not help me deliver the updates and commentary that I’ve committed to deliver to you.
I remember coming back to work after an est event in 1982 in which I realized that one person could make a difference in the world. I determined to make some grand gesture for peace.
Before I could take one step in that direction, my energy crashed and I was off work for weeks, (2) watching cartoons (metaphorically speaking).
So I know that emergence is a process that needs to be handled with care. And I say this to warn others not just to suddenly burst forth and think that you can now live at that energetic level. I don’t think the body can take it without being prepared.
After emergence, a person needs to respect their body’s need for a return to balance. They’ve created a channel to their own inner strength. It’s there when they need it.
It’ll help me not to have to research for a bit but instead to speak from where I’m at until I’ve resettled my body and myself in a sustainable place, at a manageable level.
To continue, emergence is based on a realization. Here someone asked me to move on. She was bored already with the subject. In evaluating her request, I realized that I could not respond to it. I’d lose my self-respect.
I think the mainstream media has shaped many of us to expect any one piece of news to leave the news cycle after a week or so, replaced by another, fresher issue. Having no connection to the issue, we get bored otherwise.
But the safety and emancipation of the people of Iran is not entertainment. It’s the first step in the overthrow of all dictatorships on Earth.
We may need to only get so far before the Wave of Love at its strongest point removes all remaining evildoers from Earth. (3)
We know, from Matthew and others, that we’re expected to do what we can to oust the exploiters from power around the world. (4) We need to take the first step, which frees the hands of our higher-dimensional allies (who observe the law of free will) to support us.
Every time you watch a video about someone taking a superbrave action, like rescuing a child in the path of an oncoming car or saving someone from a predatory animal, chances are you’re watching someone who emerged from our ordinary lethargy to put themselves in harm’s way in that fashion.
We may not sport, every day thereafter, the mindset and energy levels emergence requires. But we retain some of it. You can hear it in a person’s voice.
If we stayed at that awakened, energized level, we’d “burn the candle at both ends” and risk collapsing from overchallenging our systems.
It may be that you’ve experienced what I’ve just described and simply don’t have a word for it.
Given what we know about how our guides, guardian archangel, and the Mother work with us, (5) I wouldn’t be surprised to discover that they have a hand in “testing our mettle” in this fashion.
OK, time for me to go back to bed. I already feel myself dimming out.
But deep underneath that fatigue, I’m burning with zeal to begin addressing the oppression and exploitation in our world.
Not with fresh, new research because there’s no time for it, but with the research and knowledge gained from eight years (at the Immigration and Refugee Board) of the oppression already existing and historically entrenched in countries big and small, including our own.

(1) A man robbing a jewelry store, whom I took down and held for 45 minutes until the police came; a tenant with a knife who was threatening my grandfather, whose knife I kicked out of his hand and sent a kick to within an inch of his nose (he cleared out by the next morning); a man who looked twice my size and who was threatening my bestie, whose privates I grabbed (the man, not my bestie) and squeezed, sending him flying back into the bushes, after which I never saw him again; teenage boys who were disrupting our karate practice (I had been asked to maintain dojo discipline); I went to one end of the dojo and leapt five feet into the air, executing a flying sidekick, something I had never learned or done before; when I landed and looked, they were all gone; etc.
(2) I was sick in the beginnings of the 1982 recession, which saw a jobless recovery and the fall of my own company of 2300 engineers. Though I was only sick for a couple of weeks, my boss advised me to stay off as long as possible because I’d only be laid off when I came back. And I was laid off.
