Simplicity is the new life unlocking key now.
Returning to the love, appreciation, and deep respect for all life and life forms, the honoring of the sacredness of life itself.
I had a conversation with a rather defensive young man the other day, about land and land ownership.
“Mother Earth is sacred and holy. She has a soul and is a living, breathing entity. This sacred land does not belong to you nor me. You cannot carve up the earth and claim this part belongs to you.
You only honor her sacredness, and ASK her permission, with the guardians and keepers of this place, if you can lovingly, caringly take care of her sacred land, sacred waters, sacred air and all within and upon her and work with her. Then you will see how everything shifts and changes. When you honor her sacredness, she embraces and honors you.”
At first he looked at me as if I had just stepped off a spaceship. Then suddenly something clicked in him and tears welled up. A true Afrikaner “boerseun”, the Salt of the Earth” type, whose roots were from the barren farm lands in the west, but here now because of feeling called here. Yet he had that earthliness about him, which only generations of farmers have and deep practicality.
“I have somehow always known that,” he said, “but now I remember.”
I smiled. I knew his life would never be the same again.
I remember how at a time of severe drought, my cousin said to me, “Every day I witness my animals dying, no grass to feed them, no rain to grow crops. The dams, the river dry, the boreholes barely lasting. And then it is only the faith and trust in Divine Source, which keeps you going, as daily you scan the horizon for that single cloud, which brings the promise of rain.”
Lest we forget.
When we truly understand sacredness, we also understand simplicity, for they go hand in hand.
For when you honor the sacredness within your own soul, you honor it everywhere, for the same Divine Source who created you, is present in all and everyone and in all living beings, all life and life forms, all existence.
Equally.
Walk lightly on planet earth, as you stand on holy and sacred land, and are just a passenger on the great Mothership, called Earth and held with the sacred heart of Gaia.
